Never Again!! 11/12/2008

I loved going here. The food is good and the staff is friendly...except the last time we were there. We stopped on a very busy evening and was told there would be a 10 minute wait. We got one of those markers with a light and vibrator to summon us when out table was ready. 30 minutes went by and still no table. 45 minutes and I finally needed to talk to someone since i was noticing others being seated ahead of us. The waitress said that we would be seated soon. another 15 minutes went by and still nothing. I went to the counter again and asked to see the manager. The manager told me they were busy and that I would be seated soon. I looked down in the waiting list and noticed my name was not on the page they were working from. I asked to check what my status was on the list. She stated look, you are right here. I tld her, that was not my name. She looked again under 2 pages and there I was, the only name on the page not highlighted as being served. She began to apologize and quickly found us a table. I asked how this could have occurred since I was in to check on my seat at lease 3 different occasions...she then went off stating that she did everything to get me this table and that i should be grateful and walked away. We went on to have a great meal. No sorry, come again, we'll take a few dollars off your bill...nothing. The following Monday I called HQ because I wanted to tell the company about my situation and how much we enjoyed the meal. I was basically told that this restaurant was very busy and mistakes happen and have a good day (click). I now know where the name ""Rock Bottom"" comes from...their customers opinions are...well you finish the sentence. Sorry, never again. Pros: Good food and brewery Cons: Lack of customer care. more

Perfect place to watch the game 5/21/2008

If you are looking for a good place to watch the game, Rock Bottom is the place to go. The bar area is fairly large, at least 6 HD huge tv's, 2 pool tables, high ceilings (smoke isn't really a problem), good food and the service is excellent. We recently went to watch a hockey game and they had a special hockey menu with 2 dollar beers! 2 dollars for a microbrewed beer is one heck of a good deal!!!! Pros: Spacious, outdoor patio, service more

Adequate food, friendly service 4/19/2008

Rock Bottom has a friendly vibe and has tables available after many of the other Waterfront restaurants have filled up. Servers are eager to please. The food is fine, if nothing special. Stick to basics, like nachos and hamburgers, wash it down with the (quite decent) beer, and the place does the job well. Just don't expect fine dining. One big upside: the place is quite kid-friendly--crayons available up front--and is just loud enough that the occasional squeal won't bother people at nearby tables. Pros: Friendly service, good value Cons: Unremarkable food and ambience more

Lunch was so so at best. 3/23/2007

I had been to Rock Bottom before for beer and appetizers and always enjoyed the place. I had had a tasty bbq chicken pizza and soft pretzel there in the past. So recently, my boyfriend and I chose to eat lunch here while shopping. It left quite a bit to be desired. He ordered half a turkey wrap and half a house salad. The portion size was really pitiful (taking into consideration that I actually abhor really really large portion sizes). I had half a club sandwish and onion soup. The soup was very salty and the meat on the sandwich of poor quality. The dining room was cold and our bill was over $20. No thanks. Panera would have been much much better. Pros: no wait Cons: lunch menu more
