I would like to start by saying that for 22 years, I have been searching for an answer, a cure for my neck tremors (side to side shaking), as if I'm shaking my head no. I went to a doctor who told me that the only thing to stop my neck shaking was surgery. Also, to deal with it until I turn 55 years old, then come back for surgery. I decided that that was not the answer. Another doctor told me I had Beninessential tremors, his answer was a prescription of pills that were so strong they ended up making me sick, and I felt like a zombie. I threw the pills away, and as fate would have it, I was going to change my way of thinking about doctors and pills. I hurt my lower back at work recently, in March 2008. I went to the hospital where they gave me 2 shots for the pain and prescribed 2 different pain killers. The shots made me sick to my stomach and I didn't want a pill every time that I felt pain. I asked my wife to search for a good chiropractor. She found one very close to home for emergency convenience. At first I was just asking to see if they could adjust me enough to go back to work. Not only did they help me with the pain in my lower back, so that I could stand up straight. The x-rays showed that my neck needed A LOT of work as well. After a few weeks of treatments, my neck tremors stopped shaking for the first time in over 20 years! For the first time in a very long time, I could smile ear to ear when I look in the mirror, because I feel so much better don't have the embarrassment of people thinking I'm shaking my head no about something, or talking about me behind my back thinking that I have M.S. or that I have Parkinson's Disease or that I just look weird. To have 20 years of pain and embarrassment lifted off my shoulders, how do you thank someone for that?! I guess you start by writing this letter, and let people know how chiropractic care can change their life too. Or they could take a pill, live with the pain, side effects and health problems and try to mask or cover it up as long as they can?
