Cant tell you how awsome 2/18/2011

I love this studio my daughter was extremely shy but since taken classes at Robert E lee she has opened up. I love the staff parents and teachers I wouldnt believe any complaints from this studio. I will always be greatful for the treatment and friends I have developed from this studio more

Have some of you even been to Robert Lee? 1/31/2011

I love robert Lee! Before I came here, I was at a different studio, and (in response to anonymous) this studio is much more like a family and supports others and uses "foul" language than my last one. When I randomly joined, everyone welcomed me with open arms and I love them for that. more

All the Negative Comments Are True!!! 5/11/2010

In response to Amanda B...\r \r 1.) It is harassing when the secretaries and the owner of the studio belittle you in front of the other dancers, teachers and parents. I've always paid my tuition for my daughter on time but yet I never seem to escape the harassment because of the mistakes made by the book keepers. It doesn't matter that they harass people, it matters when and where.\r \r 2. As for the trash talking done by parents, well lets be honest, no you guys can't control it but its a shame to see that type of environment in the audience. Rather than stick up for those parents why don't you just apologize for them? I'm sure other parents would want to know by whom their children are going to be influenced by when they drop them off...so yes this is a perfect place to post that information.\r \r I'm assuming this is Ms. Amanda that displayed this and as a teacher, to be honest, your comment on other parent's comments shouldn't be on a review. These reviews are here to inform parents a more

Excellent School 3/30/2010

My daughter has been dancing at Robert Lee for almost 7 years (tap, jazz, Hawaiian, Tahitan and Irish) and I've been dancing Irish for 6 years there. We love it!!! Ms. Amy and Ms. Andy are awesome teachers. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. more

Great studio 12/11/2009

In response to what a couple of people have said 1: It is absolutely someone's business to "harass" you (as you call it) if you are not paying for the service that they are providing. It is not harassing, it is them trying to collect what they are owed. 2: To the person with the following comment, "I was very disappointed to hear parents trashing other studios in the audience. The man was using foul language when referring to other acts. If this is the type of people at this studio we would all be better off staying away. I, for one, am trying to teach my children to be respectful and encouraging to others." I really don't think a comment like that even deserves to be on this review list. Do you honestly expect the dance studio to be responsible for how an adult acts on their own time? They can't control that situation any more than I can control how your child acts right now. I understand your theory, however, it doesn't belong in a review of the studio itself. more

Lifechanging Experience 11/30/2009

By: Terri Gartner Buena Robert Lee Dance Studio will always be a Wonderful experience in my childhood. I danced there for 10 Years( 1973 to 1983) and Miss Andy was amazing. Disciplined yes, but what do you expect if your learning an art form. She is an incredible teacher. My dance experience in my childhood was so wonderful because of her. She taught me Technique, discipline and most of all pride in my self and my performance. These were foundational skills much needed in my adult life. I am now a confident Business Woman because of her foundational instruction. Thank you Miss Andy for being a wonderful teacher and for developing in me the foundation to make me the woman I am Today!! more

Robert Lee School Of Dance Is Just Like Family! 10/5/2009

I am a mother of 4 girls who have been dancing at Robert Lee School of Dance since my oldest (18) was 4 years old, so for 14 years I have been with this dance studio. Before that, I would visit the studio when I was in high school, with a friend who danced there. This dance studio is a smaller studio than some, but that just makes it more comfortable, because everyone knows everyone. The prices are decent, ecspecially when you have more than one child dancing, there are discounts for families with more than one student, and more than one class. The teachers are experienced teachers, some who have been there all along, like Mrs.Andy, who normally teaches the younger students. She is very nice to the kids, but very stern, which is what you want in a teacher! Miss Amy, (Mrs.Andy's daughter), is also very good, and has been dancing all her life, Miss Amanda, who was a student for many years there, is also an awesome teacher, and very good with the students. Miss Amanda does have a b more

Robert Lee School Of Dance is the best studio ever! 7/9/2009

I LOVE MY DANCE STUDIO!iv been dancing there fer nine years now and my sister fer 12 we love it and we wouldn't trade it for anything!all of the kids there have so much fun and were all nice to each other and the whole studio is like one big family. We are very considerate to other studios at competitions and we don't gossip or diss anyone at all.its not that expensive either!Every teacher is great! They all want to help you and don't humiliate anyone so i don't know Wat you guys are talking about bad comments about it because you guys are totally wrong! Our studio is great not to mention we do petty well at competitions and our recitals are great!I would recommend this studio to anyone! more

Not the best school... 2/21/2009

Robert Lee is really expensive for a school that doesn't have an awesome criteria to offer. Even though my daughter and I loved the school because of the people that go there I do not think anyone should invest in this school if you want to achieve a higher education for dance unless its in the hiphop or ballet classes. The ballet is decent but the hiphop by Ms. Rita is amazing. They have unqualified teachers for example Ms. Amanda. She brings her boyfriend to her classes consistently and allows him to distract her from her teaching. Ms. Andy has been working there for quite a while but her skill seem to say otherwise. The owner of the place is very rude and I've seen her grab and verbally attack students there. Other than the hip hop program and maybe the ballet program I would defintely not recommend this studio to anyone!!! Pros: Hip hop Cons: Everything more

Disappointed 1/18/2009

This was the first studio that I had danced at. My sister and I practically grew up there. When I began dancing for the "Company" and had several hundred dollars wrapped up in this studio, Mrs. Andy would humiliate me in front of the entire class. We were never encouraged to be friendly dancers to other studios at workshops and competitions. The classes were a waste of time, especially when my mother would leave work early to get me to the studio on time. Only to find out that the classes wouldn't even start on time and that the teachers and other students would just gossip and eat during the class. We didn't even work on the "dance" because they wanted to workout instead. Every time I went home for the night, I would cry the whole way home. I left after being involved for 15 years and I'm so mad that I wasted so many good years of dance at Robert Lee. You really don't understand how a dance studio is suppose to be run like until you go somewhere else. more

i love my dancee studio:) 9/12/2008

i have been dancing at robert lee for 10 years this year. i wouldnt want to go to any other dance studio.robert lee has great teachers for the younger children and great teachers for the older children.they provide competetive classes and non-competeive\r classes for the students.i highly recommend robert lee dance studio for any tyoe of dancing that you would like to do.:) more

I LOVE MY DANCE STUDIO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 7/21/2008

I'm Valerie Dynda. My 8 years of dance here have been awesome!!!! Dancing here is very fun. If you are looking for lots of competition opportunities then this is the perfect school for you. The teachers are great and are very helpful and experienced. Ms. Cheryll is a great Cecchetti teacher! My dance school goes above and beyond. The prices aren't the best, I'll admit, but it's worth the lessons. I would definitely recommend Robert Lee! more

Fun to Dance at, Great Teachers, Clean Environment 6/3/2008

I LOVE Robert Lee!!!!!! I have been dancing here for 8 years, and I never want to leave. I'm 12 and I will stay until graduation. They have thoughtful, caring, helpful teachers like Ms, Amy and Mrs. Cheryll. The environment is very kid-friendly. You can buy snacks, and Jet's is right next door! I take a variety of classes, like Cecchetti, Russian Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acrobats, Jr. Company, and my solo. There is so many other classes available, like Hip-Hop, Tahitian, Lyrical, Hawaiin, or Irish. It it a small studio that is kept clean and is open everyday except Sunday, Also I believe they're closed on Fridays. You have a June recital for the school year classes, or you can take summer classes for 5 weeks to prepare yourself for the next year. The classes range from little 2-year-olds to adults. The teachers can be 21, like Ms. Amanda, or really old but experienced, like Mrs. Andy. I recommend Mrs. Cheryll because she really works you to your potential. She has lots of good streches and technique ideas. Ms. Amanda brings her boyfriend Chris to our classes sometimes, so it feels a little awkward. But beside the small mistakes (that every human being makes in their life!) I think Robert Lee is great for anyone. But it is better to start young, otherwise you might have a hard time catching up. Most kids start before they're 8 to become really mature in dancing by their older teenage years. I started when I was 4. This is my first review, but I know a LOT about Robert Lee, trust me!!!! I take 7 classes, so I practically live there. I love Robert Lee School of Dance and I hope that you will too! Thank you for reading my review!!!!!!! Pros: Experienced teachers, snack box, Jets Pizza next door, competitions Cons: Amanda brings her bf to classes she teaches, kids are running around all over the place! more

rude at competitions 5/4/2008

I was very disappointed to hear parents trashing other studios in the audience. The man was using foul language when referring to other acts. If this is the type of people at this studio we would all be better off staying away. I, for one, am trying to teach my children to be respectful and encouraging to others. more

I hated it! 1/29/2008

Their teaching staff isn't up to par! Not only that you pay so much for something that doesn't give you good results. Even if you're not serious about dancing there are other places that could still give you better quality and are cheaper. The inside of the place is crummy and the owner is extrememly mean. She harasses people about money, their opinions and a lot of things that just aren't her business. My daugther danced in the jazz classes and one of the teachers was just rude to her and her dance class. I pulled her out and am now looking for a new studio. more

i love to dance 1/5/2007

i have never been here before but i would like to be but heared it was great i came up one day and i seen the kids hip hop class and it was funto watch more

Good teachers 8/17/2005

My daughter took ballet here. The teacher was wonderful. She made the class alot of fun for the girls. They are quite expensive, you can find cheaper studios with just as good of teachers around town. Though the recital time at the end of the year was a bit much. They were very picky and the costumes were very expensive. If you like high stress and are commited to dance and competition then this is the place for you. If you are a more causual dancer and not making it a career then look elsewhere. more
