Lifeguards who are MEAN to kids! 6/28/2015

My two sons and a friend went to Roaring Springs on Saturday, June 20. It was kind of a big deal, because at $30 a kid we don't go very often. In fact, we haven't been there for at least 3 years. My 12 year old was insulted by a lifeguard in a serious way. Near the Endless River, he called out, "Hey, kid! Hey fat kid! Go to the other side!". I called Roaring Springs. They told me they already knew of the incident, and had talked to all the staff that hadn't left from that shift. My son knows he was blond and wore a snapback. Unfortunately, that describes every male lifeguard at the park. I suppose I'm supposed to be happy that she talked to her staff? The kids left the park because my kid was crying. I'm glad she's trying to make sure that it doesn't happen again, but that doesn't make it alright. The kids won't be going again - I can't afford it at $30 a person. I'm totally mad! more

A Fun Place for the Young and the Not So Young 12/29/2005

I took my children to Roaring Springs this Summer and they had a blast! I left my 2 children under the age of 3 at home, but I will be bringing them along next year. Roaoring Springs has a variety of slides and activities for everyone. I was very impressed with what they had to offer for those with younger kids. There is a lot for those who are not so daring too. All in all, I think that Roaring Springs would be great entertainment for everyone, young and old, on those hot Boise summer afternoons. more

Fun, but expensive! 12/2/2005

My kids had a ball here. I enjoyed it too, except I spent most of the time i the kiddie area. The rides i did go on were fun, but I felt they weren't great. Most of them didn't move very fast, and the lines were awful. One ride, the "avalanche" hurt my neck. Its so expensive to get in, so we always go on "Moms, Pops, and tots" day to save money. I don't like how they don't allow you to bring your own food or drink; that just forces to spend more money on their facilities. I will still bring my kids back, but only on discount days , and probably only 1-2 times a season. more

Fun, Fun, Fun 11/7/2005

I love this place. I keep wanting to get a summer pass. My kids enjoy going here, they have big rides and they also have the little kid area. My favorite is the river. I could float around it forever, really. They also have a wave pool and slides to race each other on. It is a lot of money to spend to go there, but it is so fun. They have several specials for different days or times of the week. more

Not My Favorite Place To Go On A Hot Day!! 9/22/2005

We visited Roaring Spring Water Park last summer and were not impressed with it. Compared to other parks we have been to, this pales in comparison. It is super crowded and doesn't have that much variety of slides. There are some and they are definitely fun, but the crowded feeling along with the outrageous price to get in makes this an unattractive place to be, in my opinion. We haven't been back and don't plan on it. We'll stick to the community pool, or go water park-ing when we are on vacation. more

Fun But Crowded Water Park 8/20/2005

I guess you really can't blame a water park for being crowded because they probably all are, but Roaring Springs is definitely crowded. The wave pool is especially crowded. If you can get past the crowds, Roaring Springs has great slides, is located conveniently right of the freeway, and is a great place for a family outing. more

Fun in the sun 8/20/2005

I like going to Roaring Springs but I don't like paying for it. This place is pretty expensive. It is a lot of fun and if you want to throw done some money for the family you should check it out. They have waterslides that accomodate everyone. I am a big chicken and they even have ones that aren't too scary for me. The kid area is really cool. Water, water everywhere. My favorite is the wave pool. They do gouge you on the food. You can't bring food in to the park. more

Fun, but crowded and pricey 8/13/2005

I always manage to have fun at Roaring Springs, but my wallet and my patience usually have other things to say. When if first opened, the place was great, usually not too crowded, and not too expensive, but recently, both have taken a turn for the worse. Ticket prices have jumped, as has attendence, so expect to stand in line for a while before riding any slides, and don't expect a cheap day at the beach. Otherwise, have fun, and bring sunscreen. more

Great for Family Reunions! 8/9/2005

We had our family reunion here last month and we took everyone to Roaring Springs! They had such a blast--everyone from 11 months to 55 years old! They have great kids' areas--my girls loved the little slides and my baby just sat and splashed all day. The wave pool is awesome for the older kids, we rode the Lazy River all together, the teenagers loved the bigger slides, and the food prices were not bad at all for a water park. They will not let you bring ANY outside food in though. more

Fun in the Sun... and water! 8/8/2005

If you are looking for a great place to just hang out in the sun and enjoy the heat, roaring springs is a great place to hang out.. It is a great place to bring your kids, or your kids at heart. They have numerous rides to chose from some more scary than others. This is a great place to hang out and enjoy the sun....I love going there when i am in the mood to bring my inner kid out! more

a fun water park 7/31/2005

This a great place to beat the heat. They have lots of fun slides and a wave pool. The wave pool is great. It's like you are really at the ocean. They also have the lazy river where you can float around and around. The kids area is great. Lots of water everywhere. The kids will love the slides they have that are just their size. They also offer grassy areas to sit and relax. Complete with lawn chairs and shady areas. more
