I travel frequently for work and have leased many apartments. At first we were impressed by the Riverwood Villa’s courteous staff and clean neighborhood. Unfortunately we found that Riverwoods staff would tell you anything over the phone, but would not honor promises when the time came. We constantly had teenagers loitering on our front porch, and beneath our windows. The walls were thin so we could hear every conversation within 20 ft, and smell the ""special"" cigarettes they were smoking. We requested that the leasing office manage their property and remove these persons, but the request was never honored. We were told we should just call the police if we had a real issue. When we had our ""pre move out inspection"" we were told our apartment was in great shape and had been well maintained. We cleaned the apartment on a weekly basis, did not wear shoes inside, etc. After we moved out and the time came to get our $300 security deposit back we were charged for ridiculous claims such as $125 to clean the carpets, $100 to clean the apartment, a re keying fee for keys that we turned in, etc. These were all charges for things that would be expected to occur from normal were and tear to the apartment over the course of a year, or just flat out not true. We feel like we were greatly taken advantage of by a dishonest staff that claims to promote ""Christian"" values and living. I would strongly advise against choosing the Riverwood Villa's as a home for anyone.
Pros: Large size Villas
Cons: Loud, Dishonest about damage charges
