The atmosphere of this restaurant is wonderful. If you’re able to sit outside, especially in the evening on a summer day, you’ll see what I mean. It’s located on the Maplewood Golf Course, and they offer a surprising quality and variety of food.
I was last there three days ago, and I had Proscuitto Wrapped Scallops that were superb. My favorite aspect of the dish was the fact that the proscuitto was very good quality—hardly any fat on the slices, and seared to become just this side of crispy. The scallops were also wonderful, and seasoned just right. The presentation of the dish was also very nice, with a cool heirloom tomato salad in the middle of the dish that was unique and complimentary to the warm seared scallops.
For dessert I was able to try the chocolate fudge cake, which was just out of this world. Chocolate lovers will keep coming back for that one.
The variety of wines and beer is also impressive. They offer wines that I don’t see offered in too many other establishments, and they offer Mac and Jack’s beer (that’s a rarity but a sure treat).
The service is excellent as well. Overall, this is a great restaurant, especially for the price—it’s not too expensive for the Seattle area.
