Ritz 16 Movies

This has been my favorite movie theater in south jersey for years. It's now Rave motion pictures, sadly. But the seats are comfortable, they have a real coffee and tea stand in there. Luckily, I can still catch some of my indie flicks there. More kids do hang around since they are now allowed there, but the crowd is usually still respectful at this place. Also, they have a student discount which is nice! more

Unfornuately since I've moved to Northern NJ, I don't get to go to this theater nearly as much, but it is by far the best theater I've been to. The movie selection is always good, you don't get infiltration of the kiddies. This is the gold standard in cinema viewing. Pros: Best Movie Theater Around Cons: There aren't more like them more

I love the Ritz Theater!!! If you want a nice adult night out, this is the theater for you. My husband is an avid movie goer however I would wince at the thought of going to the theater with the unruly teenagers and sticky floors. The Ritz has revived one of my favorite pastimes. I have to agree with the five star, no kid review. I adore children and family fun. That said, if I want to see the next Shrek installment? I?m not headed to the Ritz with 12 nieces and nephews. more

The previous (five star lol) review was written by one of two individuals. Either a cheap attempt by a Ritz employee (or the manager himself) attempting to explain away his deplorable customer service, or an individual that clearly wishes we lived in a time prior to civil rights. By classifying all children as ""potential"" hooligans is a clearly steroetypical remark from someone who has no children. Perhaps you should post signs...NO KIDS ALLOWED (because they are all hooligans)...NO MEXICANS ALLOWED (because they are all illegal aliens)....NO MUSLIMS ALLOWED (because they are all terrorists). Where does this immature sterotype of people end. There is nothing...thats right nothing that states this discriminatory policy. If the last reviewer bothered doing his homework he would have clearly realized the Ritz is currently showing G rated films like Mr. Beans Holiday and The Simpsons. ""Adult Theater""...Says who?...It is unlawful to deny children entrance to a G rated movie. Apparently this theater feels it is above the law that applies to the rest of us. This movie should be thankful that the family who was so blatantly harassed does not find their way to a good law office. Heaven forbid any children ruin the effect of overpriced mocha and cheese kibbles offered to a movie crowd. Maybe the last reviewer should move to a country that more readily accepts the discriminitory beliefs that he does. Families have a legal right to enjoy entertainment with their entire family present, and anyone who believes differently probably grew up in a very disfunctional family themselves. I live within two blocks of this theater and would not go if you paid me. My recomendation...anyone who believes in family values should boycott this movie theater back into this century! This is hands down the best Cinema in South Jersey and better than any Cinema in Philadelphia. Everyone knows it is an adult-preferred cinema and not to bring your kids as they won?t be let in unaccompanied (don?t have birthday parties here ? you will ruin it for everyone else!). It is a haven from the hooligan teenagers that often ruin a great movie experience. Customer Service is impeccable, it is clean, there is a hot beverage bar including coffee, tea, hot chocolate, sandwiches and pastries. Skip the mall, leave the kids at home and have a nice evening out. There are also some good restaurants nearby. Obviously the family above had not done their research and have since affected the overall rating for this cinema. It?s a 10! Pros: NO KIDS, Clean, Friendly more

On the occasion of my daughter's 14th birthday, 11 of her girl friends were invited to see ""Lake House"" at the Ritz Sixteen in Voorhees. When my wife purchased tickets for 12 girls, the ticket agent told her that the children must be accompanied by an adult, so my wife purchased an additional ticket for herself. more

Love the coffe bar and fresh popcorn. Love that no kids are allowed and crowd noise not tolerated! Hard to find independant movies are great to enjoy here. Only stadium seating and THX sound could improve this place, but I can live without both. Pros: No kids, Great Concession, Good value more
