I don't understand these people who complain about the Glendale Marie Callender's. First of all, the place is always full on Saturdays and Sundays, when we generally go. We have been going for over 10 years. It would not be full if things were as bad as these people that have left comments, seemingly with an ax to grind. \r The menu dishes have always been excellent. The brunch menu is fantastic, with lots of variety, lots of pies, and lots of protein: roast beef, turkey, pork, chicken, vegetables a plenty, breakfast dishes, and the most wonderful custom made omelets. The service for us, and for those around us with whom we have commented, has always been wonderful. \r Our conclusion: these people who have left negative comments are either the equivalent of street taggers, who simply want to bad mouth a place because it doesn't suit their tastes (why did they come to begin with?), who are trying to get even for some perceived or minor human failure, or who are those people who feel super more

It all started the week before thanksgiving I had pre-order my pies for thanksgiving thinking that if I do this I won't have to wait in a long line. So I order the pies and paid for them online. So thanksgiving comes around and its time to pick up my pies. I get there and I see two lines. One say's feast pick up and the other one say's pie line. So I go to the pie line thinking I don't have to wait in that long line for the feast pick up as I'm waiting I find out that I have to wait in the feast line for two pies that I pre-order. I asked the manger if I could get my money back cause I didn't want to wait in that long cause if I knew it was going to be that long I would have never order the pies online cause the pie line was so short just to buy pies that day. The manger which I just found out is the general manger said that she couldn't give me back my money that day cause they weren't open yet and I would have to come back. Which was fine with me at first then she saw that I was in line to buy pies still and then asked me if I'm not going to pick up my pies she can't give me my money back cause I'm buying pies. I told her that I'm still buying pies but I want my money back for the pre-ordered ones. So once I said that, She rolled her eyes and gave me an attitude and kept saying that she couldn't give me my money back since I was buying pies. So then after explaining myself 100 times about what I was doing she finally got it but left with an attitude. So then I call on monday to talk to a manger to get my pies or my money back and I could never get a hold of one. So I let it be. Until today. I went to go see if I can get my pies or money back today and I talked to a different manger a male and he also gave me a hard time with major attitude. Accusing me of lying saying that how does he know that I didn't already pick up my pies cause all I have is a receipt and I could be lying. Then he went on saying why didn't I wait in that line it wasn't bad that day and why did I wait so long to get my pies. Very rude to me. I work in retail and deal with costumers everyday and no matter what the costumer is always right and if I ever gave attitude the way they gave me attitude at my job I would be fired. Both those mangers need to work on their costumer service skills. I will never order pies from any Marie Callender's again or eat there. I will for sure let my friends know about this Marie Cllender's and make sure they never go there. Cons: Rude Mangers more

With so many great restaurants in Glendale, this Marie Callender's doesn't even belong. The management is terrible, causing many problems with food and service. The staff is clueless without leadership. The manager is obviously a noob, and is giving all the Marie Callender's a bad name by running this one. They overcharge the customers, and don't even understand their own menus. Watch out for hidden rip offs and shortages. If you go there, be sure to keep the menu after ordering, 'cause you don't always get the complete meal. more

I ordered a turkey sandwich off the menu. The picture and description showed a sandwich. I expected to get what was pictured and clearly described. They served half a sandwich. I immediately brought it to their attention. Took forever to see the manager, who argued they serve only half sandwiches, eventhough the picture and descriptions don't say halves. What is this? A rip off. The manager, Michelle McClure is obviously a recently promoted waitress, and doesn't know what she is saying. Avoid eating here if you are hungry- they cut you short! I used to enjoy the ""home cooking"" meals at Marie Callender's. However over the last few years, this particular location has gone down hill. We used to stop here for pies all the time (every few weeks), but the service has sort of put me off. These days, we might order pies and just pick them up and go. We rarely, if ever, actually go here for dinner or dessert anymore. To tell the truth, I'd rather visit BJ's in Burbank or drive to Monrovia for something at Claim Jumper's. more
