Ristorante Isabella

Reservation at 5:00 ~ 20+ minutes to have someone take our drink order. 20+ more minutes to come back for the dinner order. Food took over an hour to arrive. Waitresses were working hard but they didn't have enough help (in the kitchen too). Whole experience took over 2.5 hours. We won't go back any time soon. more

We love Isabella's! The food is prepared to order, sometimes it does take some time depending on what is ordered, Its not frozen food heated like most chains are,( that is why they always look the same whether you are in WA state or Michigan) Its made for you when you order. Its very good food and very large portions. We have never had a problem there. Its worth the money, there are always left overs to take home for lunch the next day. Keep up the great work!! more

Good: Me, My husband and daughter came in on a weekend night and they were about 3/4 full around 7 pm, We were greeted and seated promptly. The menu is amazing and has alot of different dishes to choose from, I was also told the chef is very willing to make dishes off the menu to accommidate our needs or liking!. Bad: You can hear everything that is said in the kitchen. The chef does not seem to have very must respect for his employees. From the things we heard and his abrassive language! Both gals working seem to be use to it. Only 2 gals working and seemed like they were doing the hosting, waitressing & the busboy job! We also observed another family in there that was taking up alot of the waitresses time, While the kids that were with that table kept running to the back, we were later told that was the owners family. Improvements: Better staffing. Other: Next time we come in, will have to request a table far from the kitchen!. more

I can't believe how long it took to be seated. Plenty of tables. We were told to wait someone, ( that very same person) would be with us. All you had to do was point us to a table. Not enough menus, what?? How obsurd, we were the only ones needing the menu. It took so long for someone to finally get to us to place our order... Hello, besides us; table of four, there were three other tables. Does the waiter / waitress double as the cook, dish washer, vegtable slicer? I would not, could not recommend this place to any other person. How about a new restaurant in its place.... Japanese- Sushi?? more

I went there with my husband and my daughter. We didn't have to wait for a table at all but the chairs were filthy and my silverware was sticky and not washed. They didn't have enough menus, there was 3 of us but they only gave us 2 menus. I asked for another one but we were told they do not have anymore. They took our order pretty fast but when they brought out bread to our table my daughter had already took a bite of the bread before I noticed it was molded. I checked the whole basket of bread and at least 4 pieces we moldy. I called the waitress over to tell her and she said "that's not good - and this bread came straight from the oven". Well it might have come straight from the oven, but it had mold on it when it went in the oven. We just got up and left, it was totally gross. We all lost our appetites and will never eat there again. Check your bread if you eat there (and your silverware). more

I went in the other day with a group of 4 and we had to wait 4 to 5 minutes before anyone made contact with us, the restaurant was not even half full. They sat us down with only 2 menus, we were told they were out, they only have 20 menus, not even enough for a half full restaurant. When I asked what they do when the restaurant is full I was told, "well we just have to get by". It was 10 minutes before we were brought any water and then another 10 minutes before we were brought any bread. Another couple walked in after us and were told they would have to wait as there were no clean tables, no bussers? Our server was fine and had a good attitude and we all thought the food was excellant. Worth another try. more

Restorante Isabella is a wonderful italian restaurant. Go there when you have lots of time. The service and the food preparation is relaxed and takes its time. We have learned to be patient when dining there - which we have done about 5 times now. The food is fantastic and the portions generous. The place is small and quiant. Americans are too accustomed to food fast, microwaved, and now now now. This gives us the feeling of eating at a family owned establishment in Italy. If you have the time, this place is well worth the visit. more

I went here with a friend and hopefully it was just a bad night, but we waited on everything. It took several minutes before anyone even greeted us to take us to a seat. We went on a week night with not much of a crowd so I was rather surprised. We had to ask repeatedly for several things before we got them. They were also out of many items that I would have liked to try. The food I did get however was very good. The waiting was also fine because I was looking to spend time with my friend chatting anyway. more

This is a small but nice restaurant. I was really surprised at the nice menu selections. The food is very good and I could not believe the portion sizes. I feel this is a great addition to Covington and will definely go again! more
