Authentic Italian From Beginning to End 6/23/2010

After asking the concierge @ the hotel where to hit on a Monday night, she promptly recommended this spot. The space is large, but still had a family oriented ambiance. There was a man playing a mandolin LIVE from the upper floor. We arrived a little early so planted ourselves @ the bar for appetizers and cocktails. The calamari was nothing special BUT the bread w/ a garlic inspired balsamic vinaigrette & olive oil dip was so amazing we carried it into dinner! We were so full from bread, my friend & I decided that we would share an entree. It was a gnocchi special w/ shrimp, spinach & a perfect pesto sauce!!! Wine to wash it down & we were beyond content! Mediocre Italian food 4/25/2008

We decided to try this restaurant based on the really good reviews. At best, this is pretty mediocre Italian food. Coming from LA to visit Napa and only getting mediocre Italian food was a big disappointment. The prices are reasonable, but you get what you pay for. The antipasti sampler platter was good. All of the entree dishes that we ordered were mediocre (linguine frutti di mare, ravioli, risotto, capellini pomodoro). If in Napa, there has to be a ton of better restaurants. Happy about Allegria 11/30/2005

Everytime I visit Allegria I find one more thing worth loving. Their daily specials enhance their already great French cuisine, and I really enjoythe wonderful wine list. The offer great wines by the glass and bottle at affordable prices. I would especially recommend their dessert. I am always full when I'm done with the main course and still order dessert.
