Rio Rio

I visited Rio Rio in Valencia on February 29,2008....its recently under new mangament !!!!....The service is great, food is terrific, and the atmoshpere is wonderful. There are 12 different kinds of meats all seasoned and juicy! I went there with 80 close friends and family. The food was delicious and the shows they had were greatttttttt! The best part was that after 10:30pm the resturant turns into a nightclub! I would recommend Rio Rio for everyone who wants to have a great timeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hi, We went on Friday, September 14th, 2007 and this place was terrible. Service was very slow, although she was a sweetheart. They push all the cheaper meats up front (pork, 'bazilian sausage', ribs etc.) then near the end (almost like a plan) they bring out the expensive meats like the top sirloin, trip tip, and Picanha meat. We NEVER saw these meats again. They say it's all you can eat, but they don't bring you anything to really eat. I asked for the top sirloin again, and they 15 minutes later they said they didn't have any more. We asked for the Picanha meat again, and they brought out some pre cut meat on plate that tasted like dry liver! I really couldn't beleive it. If you go, lets see what they say when you ask for the Picanah, then the Picanah again and then top sirloin. I bet the fidget and bring you something else. The sides are terrible too. They bring you six sides that are tasteless. Some slop that are black beans and little bowl of white rice. Any other churrascaria has an open salad and appetizer bar with MANY more options to choose from. The mashed potatoes look liquidy and made from a bag. It seems like they have a set menu of meats and each table gets a 'round'. They are starting to close for luch soon too. The place is in a terrible location, I don't know why they don't try harder. They charged by 3 year old and 5 year old $22 for dinner! The above is just my opinionl, just try it for yourself if you'd like. Pros: Nice Decor, Seems like nice size bar. I'm Brazilian, my wife is American. We live in Santa Clarita Valley for a long time. We've been there three times. We went for the first time at the first week they open, everything was bad. We tried to give them a second chance. We went there after 3 months in a saturday night. The service was still terrible, the food even worst and everything very very pricey. We thought, maybe is because it was a busy night. Let's try for the third time in a regular night. We simply hated. Defitively this restaurant must close down. It's a shame to be Braziian and have a restaurant like that in our city. I've asked one of the servers and he told me that the owners are Armenian and have never been to Brazil. How could they open a Brazilian restaurant without knowing anything about the country??? They play all kind of music, but NOT Brazilian (that are really good). This restaurant is ridiculous, they should review all their concepts and the owners should learn A LOT more about Brazil, the food, music, tradition and culture... I don't recommend this restaurant AT ALL! Pros: None Cons: Bad quality of food, bad service and very pricey more
