This is the best place to sell your gold jewelry and coins. The owner is superb on knowlodge of all coins . I got paid more than three other stores I went to. Craig is the best by far his prices are 20 to %35 percent higher than other local shops . What's the obsession with this guy? I found him to be rude, unethical and charmless. I went into his store with 2K worth of coins and he quoted me $400 dollars. Give me a break. On top of which he barely looked at em and acted disinterested. Then he said he'd have to check whether they were clean or not. This guy is a no good bum with no ethics. Steer clear! more

I have been to Ridgewood Coin many times Craig always gives me the best prices, I have been to one of the those hotels where they advertise in the paper to sell your old gold, NEVER AGAIN i was so ripped off. I have learned my lesson, I will only go to Ridgewood Coin they give the highest prces around and they are so warm and friendly there they make you feel so comfortable. more

When I sold my old jewelry that was laying in my drawers visiting Craig at Ridgewood Coin was a pleasure. I came back with coins and my sterling silver set and got paid within minutes over $1000 for a set I was offered $600 from another dealer. You might have to wait on a line to sell to Craig but if you've shopped around you will understand why there is a 5 minute wait . Prices are very fair and Craig really knows his coins. Located on Chestnut street in Ridgewood, this is not the most noticeable store in the area. The gentleman who is normally there is very knowledgeable and friendly. But, beware. If you are going there to sell some of your own goods for cash, make sure you do some research first. Do not go in there without already having a rough idea of what your valuables are worth. I feel that you can definitely be low balled here so it is best to be ready to walk out if you do not feel something is right. Convenient location though sometimes parking in Ridgewood can be a pain. I have used the services at Ridgewood Coin and Stamp several times when I was in need of some quick cash and had items to sell like gold jewelry or collectible coins. Every time I went to the shop, which is a small storefront, the owner took phone calls while I was trying to do business with him. One time he even got off the phone and bragged to me about a great deal he was making. I felt very uncomfortable. The few times I went to this store, I went uninformed in terms of the value of what I was trading in for cash. The last time I visited, I had researched the value of several coin sets dating back over the last ten years, including some silver sets. The owner low-balled me, "consulted" some sort of guide that he surreptitiously hid from my view, and acted as though he was doing me a big favor taking the coins off my hands.
