My husband and I lost our heat and hot water in the middle of the blizzard on Thursday night. We have a new born baby at home and I called Richmond Plumbing in a panic. After talking to an after hours operator and telling her my problem, the owner called back within minutes to find out what was wrong. I told him our house was getting increasingly cold and I was worried about my baby. He was kind and efficient and dispatched a truck to our house, which arrived within a half hour. (Once the plumbers got here they mentioned that the owner made special arrangements to get a 4x4 so they could even reach our house, which is located on a steep hill.) The guys were respectful of our sleeping baby and were very aware about keeping our house neat... they even took off their boots! Within an hour we had heat and hot water and were able to watch the snow fall while our baby slept peacefully. I don't know how to thank them for keeping my family warm on such a miserable night. Plus, with all of this work at night in extreme weather, the price was extremely fair, especially considering the circumstances. more

i saw Richmond Plumbing and Heating's truck on my block ad their logo said "Fast, Professional, Reliable Service" so I called and the plumbers arrived right when they said they would. They were a great help and solved my heating problems right away. The price was reasonable and they stuck to their original quote. The work was done efficiently and neatly. I will recommend richmond plumbing and heating. I called this morning and they came the same day in the window of time they had told me. There were two polite, efficient gentlemen who got the job done in no time. Mostly, what I liked, I told them the problem on the phone and they gave me a price and stuck to it. Of the few calls I made, they wanted from $65 to $90 to come and see the problem before giving the price at which time the $65 or $90 would come off it. Are you kidding me. If I don't like the price I am still out that amount of money or I have to hire them. As plumbers go I know it is expensive, and Richmond was certainly in the range, but I took away one star as I think it could have been a tad cheaper having done my homework. more

They are very reliable and respond to your calls immediately. They are reasonable as far as plumbers and heating specialist go. They even have a coupon in the phonebbok. I would definitely use again. They know what they are doing. There is a minimum service charge. more
