Better Dreams @ Raleigh! 11/30/2010

Perfecy hotel for pre/post production. Quiet, low key. Staff is extremely discreet. You can ""hide away"" here, without being bothered, Service is 5 star. Guests are truly given privacy. The pool is nothing short of spectacular. No wonder it's been used for so many shoots. Lots od NYC/LA industry types casually sunning on pool deck. Great place to have great dreams! more

.Total hideaway! 12/31/2008

No better setting in SoBe or Miami, great food, great drinks, efficient friendly staff, cool Martini Bar, great scene. Escape from obnoxious mega hotels eating up South Beach. Pros: Great option to get away from obnoxious lounges and mega hotels in Sobe. Cons: Parking can be a tad tough, but valet is available. more

Terrible Customer Service 5/29/2007

Although the hotel has many great features (lovely wait staff, fun pool, etc) the customer service provided by the hotel management was terrible. The room we stayed in was nice and had great features, nice tv, ipod dock, etc. However nothing worked. The TV was broken, the minibar was locked and did not keep anything cold and the air conditioning unit (in the ceiling of the closet) dripped dirty water on all of our clothes. I had a brand new dress(price tag still attached) destroyed in the process and I had to argue with the manager to have it replaced. He agreed to credit the value of the dress off of room charges but when we checked out the value was less than promised and they refused to give us the value which had been agreed upon. I will never stay at this hotel again and would not recommend it to anyone. Pros: Friendly waiters and pool staff, great pool, easy access to boardwalk. Cons: The worst customer service I have ever experienced. more

Good value, Clean Rooms, Nice pool 4/10/2007

For Miami Beach standards this hotel was a very good deal. Probably can get a room for around 200 or less if you look. It is in a good area, nice clean rooms, pool was nice and good beach access. The breakfast was good, cooked by a friendly cook. Compared to other hotels this one was really nice. If you can afford a resort like the Delano or Satai than go there but if your looking for a good value this is probably the bst. Pros: Nice Pool, Beach Acess, Good Breakfast, good value Cons: no parking more

Fabulous Hotel 3/1/2007

The Raleigh is one of my fave hotels. It knocks other beach hotels out cold! The food is great and you can take your time and chill while eating. No rude waiters hovering around and making you feel uncomfortable. The rooms are really cool with all the high-tech stuff you need. Nice, quiet hotel with a very discrete staff. The pool is unbelievable. It's probably one of the best in the USA. Everyone here looks chic. You feel like you're a guest in a Manor. Each staff member treats you like a special guest. I can never get enough of the Raleigh! Pros: Coolest Pool, Best Hotel Service, Cool Crowd more

Danger Danger. 1/4/2007

These guys were so disorganized that once I finally got them, then an English speaking ""them,"" on the phone, they still couldn't even make my simple reservation. I shudder to think what it would be like to actually stay there. more

The New Chez Walters restaurant has an excellent Miami Spice Menu, Beautiful Pool 8/6/2006

Breakfast and Lunch at the Chez Walters is among the best things in Miami Beach, Brunch on Sundays next to the most beautiful and truly an Oscar winning Pool is my favorite. The food is great with flavors for every taste along with the best tropical cocktails like the famous mojitos and frozen drinks, no to mention having a mimosa next to pool area. The service is very good and overall the Raleigh is the only real Art Deco Hotel / Restaurant left, classy and chic. Highly recommended! Pros: The Pool, cocktails, breakfast menu Cons: Price for dinner, Miami Spice menu is great. Parking can be an issue but you can use valet. more

Great On A Sunday 6/7/2006

The outdoor bar at Hotel Raleigh offers something for everyone. Went on a Sunday with one of my friends and was told locals frequent on Sundays. The bar is chic chic but, still laid-back enough to escape a grand snob factor. There is something for everyone with multiple areas: a deck area, pool area, and beach/sand area with a bonfire going. People are laid-back yet trendy and drinks are average-priced. I can't begin to describe the awesome vibe that is present. Definately a great place to go and hang out. more

Great find! 1/15/2006

I found a great deal for this hotel through the internet and I am thrilled I found it! You can't beat the location - on the water and one block from Lincoln Rd. It is wedged btn the Raleigh (where you can pay more than double) and another famous hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a terrific room, small compared to most hotels but quaint, and very clean. I was lucky enough to be on the 5th floor, with access to the rooftop deck. Great breeze and great to relax. Pool and cabanas on the beach! Pros: decor, location, ambiance Cons: not handicapped acces, elevator far more

GOOD FOR PRICE 12/26/2005

Great location. Can walk anywhere plus it's oceanfront/staff helpful, rooms need updating. Not enough outlets. Front desk help cheery & helpful. Very convenient with metered parking on 17th Street. Pros: location, staff very helpful, safe Cons: amenities more

Cool Pool/Hot Bar 10/18/2005

Can't miss here. Everything's perfect. The rooms are comfy. The lobby is funky and the meals are quite tasty. You can linger with your drinks, without being bothered by annoying employees. Baby, this place is something else. Even if you're a local, stop by. It's like nothing else on South Beach. Pros: way cool, incredible pool, cool guests more

The Worst 2/28/2005

This is the worst hotel on South Beach. The staff is rude, the rooms have not all been renovated, they don't speak Englsih and they are slow and mostly incompotent. I would never stay here again. This was the worst hotel experience of my life. I HATE THIS PLACE. DO NOT STAY HERE! Cons: slow, rude, unhelpful more

Location and value! 4/14/2004

When you go to SoBe - you have to figure what you want out of a hotel when you pick a place to stay. Seocnd time I have stayed here. This hotel is diagonally across from Delano, and is one block from beach. Clean, simple hotel. Wood floors, nice comfy beds, cute patio and simple breakfast on secluded garden patio. great little bar for drinks in evening before dinner. Garden patio was nice to nap in after day at beach before going out. so if you want value, no frills, this is your place. Pros: Value, great staff, location more

Bad service, great location 2/3/2004

We stayed for three nights and had to switch rooms twice--could've been three, but we gave up. First one, room hadn't been cleaned. Second one had a wall that shared the bed's headboard with the elevator. Third room's a/c didn't work. Stick with a queen bed--the ""king"" beds are actually two twin beds pushed together. No outlets in the rooms if you want to charge your phone. The hotel staff was useless--except for the guy on the nightshift. Little effort was made to locate clothes we had accidentally left when we switched rooms--it took over an hour to get it from the lost and found. Took 25 minutes to get car from valet. Pros: Close to beach, Great looking lobby Cons: , Poor room amentities more
