Richard Walker's Pancake House

I've been coming to this place (I speak of the Hoffman Estates location) for years. I've had just about everything on the menu and it's all good. Giant ommlets, great eggs benedict, german pancake the size of a volkswagon and an unbelievable apple pancake. I also love the biscuits and gravy and the thick cut bacon is some of the best I've ever had. Longs lines appear daunting on weekends, but the staff is expert at moving it along. It is a bit on the pricey side, my one complaint. Pros: great breakfast food Cons: pricey, long waits more

I have only been to the Richard Walkers in Schaumburg, just north of Golf Rd on Roselle. This is where one find the absolute best omelet available, and I have tried almost all of the top twenty breakfast restauants in the city. Have them include a side of salsa (also remarkable in itself, made there) and you have a truly wonderful treat. The Eggs Benedict are a delight, as well as I have had them done anywhere. Apple pancakes are great, though occasionally light handed on the cinnamon sugar. The atmosphere makes this place a cut or three above the rest. Excellent classical music stays enough in the background to be a real addition Parking is great and service is exemplary.
