I walked in at 8pm on a saturday night in a town square where every other restaurant is packed and there was not a soul in the place. I wondered why but when my sashimi was served I quickly realized. I have eaten salmon sashimi all over the world and know how it should taste and look. This fish was degraded (turning white) on one side indicating it was old. It also tasted like the refrigerator it had been in for so long. When I asked the server (owner/wife?) to take it back she tried to tell me it had been marinated in vinegar?? If that was true then it was not indeed sashimi and was probably soaked to hide the bad flavor. Sashimi should never be anything but the finest cut of fish, extremely fresh and always raw with nothing added. In my opinion, a sushi restaurant is only as good as it's sashimi so I would not reccomend wasting your time here.
