Great store! 2/23/2011

I have read some of the bad reviews on the re-sale rack and am very sad that someone would discourage others from going there to sell their children's clothes. I have been taking my son's clothes there for several years and have never had a problem with her pricing. All the clothes that I take in, have been washed, and ironed. Most clothes that I take in are gap and Polo. The prices are fair. I do not care what the owners turn around and sell it for, that is why they are in business - TO MAKE A PROFIT! I have been in there at times when I am waiting on someone else who is dropping off clothes to sell, and the owner has turned most of their clothes away. There are stains and rips and the clothing is so wrinkled, I would not put the clothing on my dog. This may be why the one woman on here was complaining the owner did not take any of her clothing. Keep that in mind if you are thinking of taking clothing in to sell. more

My favorite! Has everything! 1/5/2010

Good: I have been shopping at this store for 14 years and have always found it to have everything I am looking for! It is a RESALE shop and that means that you might see another child's name on a label or a missing label, but that's not going to show anyhow. The lady owner knows her stuff and is very particular about what she takes and rejects---knows kids trends and dislikes as well...things are well organized, no smell, good prices, only clothes in top condition, and very friendly helpful staff. Easy returns!. Bad: Yes, it is a bit crowded and in a rundown shopping center, but I am not expecting Macy's with these low prices!. Improvements: Rest room and chair/bench to sit down on once in a while. Other: After reading comments of others I am amazed at what people expect from a resale store. Owner has to be very selective as she is stuck with everything that doesn't sell---consignor does not come back at end of month to pick up unsold things, Give it a try, but don't expect Macy's or you will complain, but your wallet won't!. more

I know ANOTHER -BETTER Local Consignment Option 6/24/2008

I have been to the resale rack and have had the same kind of experience mentioned in other reviews. They were NOT friendly - rejected most of my (really nice) merchandise - and offered me pennies on the dollar for the items they would take. I walked away without giving them anything I was so annoyed! What a waste of time! I recently heard about an upcoming Semi-Annual Kids Consignment Event which will happen every Spring and Fall in the Burlington Center Mall in Burlington Twp NJ. ( called BEST DRESSED FOR LESS). The next sale will happen October 10th-12th but consignor registration is open now. Semi-Annual Kids Consignment Sales are GREAT because if you consign your kids stuff YOU choose the price - and if it doesn't sell at the sales end you take your just merchandise back.- or donate it to charity. Because they are NOT a consignment store they don't have the constant overhead expense of a year round store and can give consignors up to 80% of their sales. (if you volunteer to work the sale). It is REALLY worth checking out! Their website is very detailed and can be found at http://www.bestdressedsale.com You will NEVER want to take your stuff to the resale rack again! more

Re-Sale Rack Prices not fair 10/31/2006

The reason I made the title read: "Re-Sale Rack prices not fair" is because, when you take clothes there and they buy them off of you, they tell you they will give you half of what they will sell them for. However, I took some really nice winter coats there, which were NAME BRAND and in excellent condition. They only gave me $3 for each of them. They turn around and sell them for $10 - $15 each. 2x3=6. So why didn't I recieve at least $5 - $7.50 for each of them? They rip the people off who sell the clothes to them and then turn around and try to get rich by trippling the price. Granted, they do mark the prices down ONLY after they have sat in their store for almost a month, and still it is more than they paid. So, you really aren't getting a deal at all for used clothes. They charged me $40 for a double stroller that literally fell apart the same day and they refused to take it back and refund me. My child could have been hurt, so be careful when buying used stuff like strollers and car seats. Yeah, they may keep up with re-calls and stuff, but they aren't aware of the hazards that face even the non-recalled (especially being used already). Some of their clothes are missing inner tags, and some even have names from the previous child in them. Still, they charge you over $10 for the item. Their store is run down, and the bathroom lack privacy because of the gap between the door and the wall hinge. The rooms to try on clothes only have curtains when now-a-days you are supposed to have doors, so no-one gets in when you are in there. There is a play area for little kids to play while there parents browse the clothes, which is good, but it sits right in front of a big window that anyone can look in, and provides a security hazard to the children when their parent isn't watching. I know parents should always watch their kids no matter what, but what if someone was watching them play from the outside, and sees the parent isn't paying attention and wals in and takes the kid with no-one looking? Being a mother of 4 young children, that concerns me. HOWEVER, the Husband seems like a really nice guy, but his wife is really arrogant at times. And no, she never smiles. When you drop of clothes she rips right through them, throws an ammount at you, gives you the money and turns away. No words to exchange nothing. Just a drop-sort and look- and leave. That is it. So, you tell me, is this a place that seems to succeed for their clothing or for what they rip people off by giving them for clothes that are worth 6 times that ammount???? You be the judge. more

Will go back again 1/13/2006

I was in search of some baby items and maternity clothes. Found things reasonably priced for the condition of each item. You have to look through racks but it is organized. Had a nice experience there, came home with the best maternity jeans and could have used more. more

Great deals here! 9/24/2005

This is a consignment store that specializes in used children's clothes. They also carry books, videos, toys, swings, cribs, playpens, strollers, mobiles, etc. I went there to look for a excersaucer once and they had five. This is not a rich area so the prices are pretty good and they mark down the clothes from time to time. The owners are usually there and are helpful although not "smiley" people. You can also sell your things to them but they are picky about what they take. They wouldn't take a travel swing because it was known to have some operational problem so they lady gave it to me- and I didn't have any problems with it! The plaza is a little run down and so is the store, but I would rather keep the prices of the merchandise low than shop at a modern high traffic store. Hours are 9:30-5 Tues-Saturday more
