I booked a 75 minute massage with Deborah Wirzburger and it was the best massage I have ever had! I felt like I was in a state of “peace” after the massage. My muscles were free of tension and soreness and at the same time I felt so relaxed. Deborah could “feel” where I had more or less tension and adjusted to it without my saying a word. I will definitely recommend her to my friends, so they can also feel the same sense of “peace” as I did. more

The Best 5/26/2010

Juliana is brillant. I havent felt this good in years!! I have a pretty active lifestyle. and muscle pain / soreness is one thing that can slow a person down. especially as they age. I am amazed more people do not invest in themselves more with massage! I have been seeing Juliana for almost a year. and physically, i feel about 15 years younger. i stay in good shape regardless. but like athletes and entertainers, we people need to take better all around care of ourselves: mind, body and spirit. and she is priceless with the body aspect. best decision I've ever made. So impressed 5/17/2010

I have been to many massage therapists and finally have found the perfect one. I can't believe such a small woman was able to apply the intense pressure I was looking for. I have been back several times and will be returning again. Julianna accomodates the amount of pressure you want and will work on specific areas when asked. I was so relaxed that I even fell asleep. There is no excuse not to go. 5/8/2010

If you have never had a massage before, then it may be tough to describe it to you; if you have had one elsewhere then imagine it being even better then you've had in the past. When the body is being messaged by Juliana, it is like you are floating on an island without a care in the world and that feeling lasts for days after the message. I will never go anywhere else. Pros: Pure Relaxation, Very Professional & Knowledgable. Cons: I can't have a message every day!!! more

Absolutely perfect. 4/28/2010

After my very first session with Juliana, I realized that I could no longer view massage as a luxury. I wondered then, and have during every visit since, "how did I EVER live without this"? It's a necessity. Specifics that make this place great : Online scheduling, good location, new client/birthday rates and the availability of packages. Juliana is always very welcoming and easy to talk to. She spends as much time as is necessary on problem areas and is quite intuative, finding tight spots that I didn't even know that I had. Each time I go, I feel like I get more and more out of it. I very much look forward to that hour of "me" time when I can clear my head and let go of everyday stressors and things that have been building up over time. I always leave feeling very relaxed and slightly euphoric. You owe it to yourself to try this place. It's fantastic. Pros: convenient location, serene environment, reasonable prices Cons: none more

Juliana is a very professional as well as friendly massage therapist . She works on the areas you need the most. When I went to her for the first time, I was in so much pain that I could not even move myself. I have fibromyalgia and have chronic back pain with sciatica. Juliana has realy made wonders and for the first time in many years I was free of the sciatica pain for a while. I go to her regularly and now I am able to execise more regularly. I strongly recommend Juliana. more

Magic hands -- and elbows 2/22/2010

Juliana is a wonderful massage therapist. I have chronic tightness in my hamstrings, quadriceps and iliotibial band that stretches alone won't alleviate. My sessions have made a world of difference, allowing me to more effectively exercise. She is a pleasure to see -- sunny and funny while being completely professional and helpful. A wonderful experience. 2/22/2010

What an experience, Juliana knows how to get rid of those nagging pains. I went in for a sore hamstring, she talked about how I felt & where I thought that I needed the most work. She then proceeded to loosen up the areas that bothered me most, even working loose some knots that I was unaware of till they were gone. Her pleasant demeanor & the relaxing environment have me feeling like I just woke up from a sound sleep, even though I'm awake the whole time. Pros: The best massage I've found. Best Massage Ever! 2/9/2010

I don't usually make recommendations but after meeting Juliana at the Republic of Wellness and experiencing her massage I felt compelled to highly recommend her to my family and friends. I went to see her for a one hour massage but it was so soothing and relaxing that I stayed for two hours. I may have stayed even longer but she had another client scheduled. She was very knowledgeable and receptive while able to skillfully identify and relieve my muscle tension with just the right depth of pressure. Nobody should deprive themselves of this experience! more

If you can't turn your neck 11/10/2009

Juliana single-handedly gave me use of my neck and shoulders back. I had pulled a muscle, gone to another massage therapist, but still couldn't turn my head at all. Three days later, I went to Juliana just by chance. Thank god! I left there able to turn my head, and am finally free of pain. She is truly a master in the art. She has a great spirit, makes you feel comfortable, listens to your needs, and understands what's going on "back" there. :) To be honest, I wasn't much on massages, now I understand the value. I am learning so much about my own posture and mechanics from her. I rave about her to all my friends and family. You just have to go!!!! Pros: parking, prices, atmosphere more

I went to see Juliana for my massage and she was absolutely wonderful! It was the best massage that I have ever experienced. She really took the time to listen to my concerns and comments about specific areas that needed to be worked on. The overall massage was personalized to my areas of stress and or pain. She adjusted pressure depending upon the sensitivity of the area. It was great, and I can not wait to go back. I highly recommend Juliana and the Republic of Wellness for your next massage! Gifted Healer & Therapist 10/26/2009

I visited Julianna with reoccurring back and hip discomfort. Her skillful therapy provided relief from fixated muscles beginning with the first session. I have been to varing therapists and experienced many forms of massage throughout the years. Julianna possess a unique touch and implements benefical techniques which I haven't experienced previously. My 80 year old aunt also received treatment from Julianna and commented on immediate back relief that her other therapists were unable to obtain. Julianna's ability to tune into the needs of the body and adapt her massage accordingly, her professional demeanor, and a pleasant therapy environment affords a relaxing and healing experience for her clients. Juliana's Magic Fingers 10/13/2009

This was the first massage I have ever had in my life, and it was great! I am an elementary schoolteacher and have a lot of lower back pain from bending down a lot on the job. The massage felt especially good on all my tired and achy muscles. The atmosphere was very relaxing, too, especially because of the background music and Juliana's voice (love the Brazilian accent!). Since I'd never had this experience before, I didn't know what to expect. I really enjoyed the massage oil...it made me feel like a queen. Usually I'm very selfconscious, but I felt completely comfortable. After the massage was finished, I felt pleasantly "floaty" and my head was clear. I will definitely go back to Juliana because I'm worth it! Pros: Totally relaxing deep tissue massage Cons: No cons! more

Deep Tissue Massage - SO HELPFUL 10/6/2009

I was thankfully sent to Juliana through a friend. In July I had a Total Double Knee Replacement - After 8 weeks of intense physical therapy I was still having trouble getting my knees to fully extend. I found Juliana - Her knowledge of Mayo Fasial Release ( I had no idea what it was) was exactly what i needed as far as getting my muscles to work properly again and to help me with my physical therapy. I went in to Juliana a very crooked woman and I am getting straighter and stronger everday thanks to her. If anyone has to have a total knee replacement they should seek out Juliana - her therapy works hand in hand with the physical therapy! Her professionalism is matched by her gracious and calming spirit! Pros: Helped me recover from Total Double Knee Replacement Cons: None more

"Your search is over.  Juliana is by far one of the best massage therapists around.  I have severe tendonitis as well as the normal back aches due to my work and Juliana knows how to make me feel better.  She is so knowledgeable about all the muscles in the body and knows how to target where the problems stem from.  Her pressure is perfection.  I have never had a better deep tissue massage then the ones I get from Juliana.  Whether it is deep tissue work you need or just want to relax and have a soothing massage, look no further.  Juliana is truly amazing and I know you will not be disappointed. AMAZING! 9/28/2009

I went to Juliana for relief from neck and shoulder pain. Moments after meeting her she had me at ease, she is genuinely caring and concerned. We sat down and talked about why I came to her , she then worked out a plan of action ! a deep tissue massage A she began my deep tissue massage , I could feel my shoulder and neck loosen, ..(RELIEF..that night I slept for the first time in months. ) she seemed to find the spots troubling me the most ,almost intuitively . Excellent Deep Tissue Massage 9/25/2009

I saw Juliana for a massage for low back pain that I was having. I had never had a deep tissue massage, and found it both relaxing, and relieving. After two deep tissue massages, my back pain is gone. I will continue to use Juliana as my massage therapist for future pain relief, or just to have a massage. She is very professional, accommodating, and friendly. Her waiting room and massage room have a very relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. Overall it was a wonderful experience, and I recommend her to anyone looking for any kind of massage therapy. Pros: Convenient parking, affordable, effective massage more

I have had many massages in my time, and few compare to my experience at the Republic of Wellness. The therapist had an obvious intuition about how to best treat my aches and pains. She managed to find even the smallest aching muscles and caringly smooth them to satisfaction. If you are looking for a serious massage, this is the best kept secret in Boston!
