I stopped in to see what kind of quality clothes I could buy for my wife who is a government supervisor. She balked at not having enough quality work clothes since she lost over 25 lbs this year. I went to some downtown stores, too expensive and not enough for what you pay. The staff at RB was very helpful in picking out selections. I purchase a few suits for the price of what one suit downtown would cost. My wife loves her new clothes and I truly appreciate the savings involved in the purchases. Will buy again at this store!! This is my favorite consignment shop in Denver. They have tons of clothes. Great designers like Prada, Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, tons of St. John etc. The prices are terrific. Plus once or twice a year, they do a blowout sale where they take 25% off of everything in the store. Last one was in Jan. I just have a ball in this place. As far as the holding of your bags at the desk, they wouldn't ask to hold a customer's purse if shoplifting wasn't a serious problem. For a merchant, I think this policy makes sense because they have to charge more money for their merchandise to deal with those losses. Plus I don't have to carry it around the store. they won't let you bring it in, and you won't need it anyway. There are multiple signs on the door and in the store demanding that you leave your purse (and everything else) locked in your car. The justification is that they have had thefts. We weren't about to leave our purses in the car, and the staff didn't ask us to you, but be warned. The staff was not friendly, and did not greet us, but pretty much ignored us. You can't help but noticed the wall to wall shoes in every room -- unfortunately, not high end brands, or in spectacular shape. There were a few high end pairs in the store, but all were priced too high. For example, some worn Stuart Weitzmans priced at $150. The clothes in the store are about the same - lots of Arden B, Express, etc. at ok prices, and some better brands that were over priced. more
