Watch out for these guys. They are thieves. Very bad living conditions that might not even be legal. Maintenance was non existent. You are on your own. Meth dealers lived in the apartment above us, and armed Rexburg Police raided the building. The property Manager Jenn did everything she could to rob us of our Deposit even after paying rent on time every time for six months. They do a $500.00 deposit then take $100.00 right off the bat and say its for carpet cleaning but never clean the carpets. Our feet were black in our new apartment after 20 minutes. When our lease ended, my wife slaved for two days cleaning the apartment white glove spotless. I checked everything on the list myself before we left. When we asked for our deposit back, the Manager Jenn made up excuses and said she had pictures that the apartment was dirty but never produced them. In my opinion, don t even bother cleaning if you leave. They still wont give you your deposit back. We ve met three other BYUI couples that were also scammed by these people. Watch out for this company. Thieves. more

I got married in August last year and went to Rentmaster to see if I could find our first apartment. I was looking for a 6 month lease and the Jen helped me find a place that we loved. She sat down with us and went over all the documents with us. Throughout our stay we had to call the maintenance department only once but they responded to us within 24 hours. When it was time to put in our 30 day notice to move, I was told if I leave our apartment SPOTLESS I would get my deposit back. They gave me a move-out checklist of everything I needed to do to get my deposit back. GUESS WHAT!! I got it all back except the carpet cleaning which I knew upfront would be coming out. No problems at all!! Rentmaster recently is under new management and the girls in that office are so much fun!! I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to rent. If I ever move back to Rexburg, I will absolutely go there first. Thanks again!! more

Bad Service 7/26/2011

Please do not rent from this company I just got RIPPED off on my deposit after renting for 5 and 3/4 years and had 11 people help me clean this house then to be ADVISED that I owe them over 600.00 And get charged for Random cleaning that would not be possible as there was nothing left there to be cleaned. more

Hey I read a couple bad reviews on here and just want to say that I thought Rentmaster was great! They rented my wife and I an apartment in the 'burg and they were helpful and easy to work with. They even gave us a welcome basket when we moved in. Now that I am getting ready to move out they gave us a paper with info on what to do to get our deposit back. I wouldnt of thought to clean some stuff like baseboards and light covers and under the stove, so it was a good reminder. The guy at the front desk, I think his name is Dan, he was laid back and really helped me out when I needed a rental check for our new place in Alabama. Great people--good to work with. Terrible to work with. 6/25/2009

Rentmaster took over Green Gables a month ago and it has been terrible ever since.\r We had to move for my wife's student teaching so we called Rentmaster and asked them if we had someone take over the contract that they would still charge the $525. The girl on the phone said that it is no problem. \r We found someone to take over the contract and went into rentmaster to take care of the paperwork and the girl behind the counter said that the person who was going to take over the contract had to pay $585 and she wouldn't budge.\r Another lady came over and said that we could put an addendum on the contract so the price would still be $525. So that was good and we left so the girl behind the counter could fill out the paperwork. This was one week ago on a Friday and the girl said she would call us on monday to let us know how things were coming along. Guess what? No phone call. \r At 5:30 I went to rentmaster to see what's up and a guy there found the paperwork and said everything looks good so far so I left thinking everything was okay. \r We got a phone call the next day informing us that the girl at the counter talked to the actual owner of the building and he said that we couldn't do the addendum and she STILL has to pay the $585! I asked to talk to her manager and throughout this whole thing the managers are never around (yeah right) If you don't know this is what business say when the managers don't want to be ""bothered"". Well, most of the time but that is the way it seems at Rentmaster.\r Since the manager wasn't there or didn't want to be bothered, the girl at the front desk said that she would have the owner call us. It's been over two days and I still haven't heard from him and Rentmaster hasn't even tried to help out. We are moving in two days and still not sure what is going on. It is frustrating not knowing if we will have to pay two rents next month.\r \r Sooo, here is my plea to ANYONE who is going to use Rentmaster. DON'T DO IT! You will regret it! Pros: The apartment was pretty nice, bad windows though. Cons: The landlords wouldn't work with us.They sent mixed messages more
