When we first looked into Renee Kelley's, we loved the venue itself. Upon meeting with Nancy Neighbor (Chefs mother) I got a very strange vibe. My daughter lived away and when she came into town, we took another tour and she loved the castle so we booked our event. My daughter was excited to be married there. I will say this....Nancy is all about the money!!! Customer service is of no concern to her. She trumped up $1700.00 worth of charges after I turned her in to the BBB and I was shocked to see what she had on the list. Everything from $10.00 per phone call to charging me a fee to take another tour so my daughter could see where she was getting married. Unreal!!! She was very under staffed. I was charged for a certain number of servers and there were less than half there. She wouldn't refund my money. There were other items I paid for and she did not deliver nor did she refund any money. My husband had to bring our own music system because her's wasn't working properly. Her comment to me was, "It's not my problem your system is not compatable with ours". On the day of our event, I asked her if she had a micraphone to use so we didn't have to shout. She said, "we do and that would be and additional $75.00". Shouldn't that be included in the sound system costs? Nancy told me that at the time I signed the contract, they didn't have a mic available. I have had other weddings at other venues which were flawless. The people I worked with were amazing! Renee (chef) would do well to put her mother somewhere she didn't have to work with people. The horrid customer service you get at Renee Kelley's does not allow you to enjoy the beauty of the venue or the food created by Chef Renee.
