goood pizza. Great poppers.

I know many people rave about the pizza here, but I really didn't see anything too special about it. It was a basic pizza, with nothing extra special to really impress me. Also, i...

Great! 5/24/2006

I had one of the best pizza's in this place about two years ago, and it will always keep me coming back. They have this pizza that is a Sicilian recipe that only they make in Chicago, supposedly. It is out of this world. The last time that I had it wasn't as earth shattering as the first, but good none the less. more

Authentic Sicilian Spiggione pizza 3/5/2006

I come from a Sicilian family, and they make this Spiggione pizza, that tastes like my grandma made it, and eating in their restaurant feels sort of like eating in a grandma's parlor - so Renaldi's has a special place in my heart. I had that pizza once 2 summers ago. I've since gone back multiple times and have not had the same positive experience. The spiggione pizza does not taste the same when you have it delivered. Having been so impressed with the spiggione, I was inspired to try all of their other pizzas, which are good- but not that memorable. I met the owner who was fabulously sweet and offered me a free drink, when I complimented his spiggione pizza. Most of their wait staff have been pleasant and knowledgeable. They also have pizza by the slice to go for a good price, and I think this tastes better than their whole pizzas. more

Pizza 2/23/2006

I know many people rave about the pizza here, but I really didn't see anything too special about it. It was a basic pizza, with nothing extra special to really impress me. Also, it was pretty expensive for what it was worth. I was also disappointed with the service here. We ordered and it took forever for the waitress to bring our food out. Overall, I thought this was an overpriced and slow place to eat at. Moreover, the food was not good either, which just made things worse. more

Pizza that's not really pizza! 1/12/2006

A miles away from my college. In the summer plenty of people squeeze themselves in the patio area. The food is exagerated, the staff is lazy and inconsiderate, and everything is over priced. The pizza is not that good! I've had better and cheaper in a much more comfortable environment. I guess if you're starving you'd pay $5-6 for a slice. I suggest you go some where else because I wouldn't go back here again. more

Just okay Italian 8/30/2005

The Italian food had a different twist - like the 5-cheese sauce on the mushroom ravioli that actually included cheddar cheese. The waitress had to talk us into trying it, but it definitely was different. The outdoor seating is very cramped, but kudos to them for squeezing outdoor seating into their tiny space on Broadway. Unfortunately, the service was not very good. It took forever for a waitress to come, and then after bringing our food to our tiny table she never came back to take away our sald plates or refill our drinks. All in all, it was adequate, but I've had better Italian food for cheaper. more
