Renaissance Café

We were looking for a place to have lunch when we arrived on our trip, and I found a coupon online. I called ahead to confirm that the coupon would work, and the manager said it would. When we arrived the next day, after we had given the waitress the coupon, we overheard the owner telling the waitress that she would not accept our coupon even thought we were told otherwise. Of course this was after we had received our food. The owner never said a word to us, even though she was sitting not 4 feet away. The food was barely ok. It was fairly costly for the portions and that this was a lunch. I certainly would not have patronized this place without a coupon. more

Good: The food was good.. Bad: Father's Day 2010, three patrons in cafe when my friend and I arrived. Waitress messes up on two patrons bills. Friend has 10% coupon and debit card. Coupon is not valid as it is Father's Day, no restrictions on coupon. Fee on debit card after running it through. Waitress has screwed up three patron's bills and says it just a couple of dollars what's the beef. She is a thief and is ripping people off. Should not advertise with coupons as they do not honor them for one reason or another. One word thief!. Improvements: Honest wait staff. Fee's for debit/credit clearly posted and on menu. Honor coupons that's why people come. Perhaps an apology as this will be sent to the BBB of Leavenworth. If three patrons where ripped off in a row, should tell something is terribly wrong.. Try the "Gods Food" yummy garlicky noodles! Go for the food not the view-- its located in the basement of a building just off the main drag in Leavenworth. I've never made it here for breakfast but here its worth it! more
