I bought 4 cars from Reliance Auto dealer in Downey. I've been a loyal customer since 2001. The last car I bought is in May 2009 with my tax refund was a 98 Dodge Intrepid with low mileage. It has good body, excellent interior; it was a show room condition. I wanted it bad. There were three other customers wanting this exact same vehicle. He said, ""This will be a three thousand dollar car but it is not ready to sell."" This car was just delivered to the lot. I agreed to pay the $3K price plus transfer fees and cost, and we shooked hands. It was a deal of the century for me. \r I offered to give $500 deposit, and the rest of the money in two days but David just shook my hands and said it's yours. Reliance Auto spends at least 3 days reconditioning each of their inventory. I was ready with my money in a couple of days. \r I visited the lot to see it pimped up. \r Lo' and behold, two other buyers were also there checking and waiting for my Intrepid. David told me that It is going to take longer before I could pick it up. I saw the hood of my future car was empty. There was no engine or transmission. David said, ""Sorry this car is being over hauled. It will take longer than I thought. I gave you my word, the price is still the same."" \r I made sure I deposited $500 that day; and after the car was repaired in about a week or so, I paid it in full. Reliance Auto completed the transfer and I got my registration the following week. I know that my automobile is reliable, dependable and definitely in a very good condition.
