I am a consultant and recently chose to rent an office space rather than work out of my home office which was becoming too distracting. I was very apprehensive about using Regus after reading all the negative online reviews. However, I have been pleasantly surprised. Its worth a look-here are the positives and negatives \r
Negatives\r
it is true that they do not tell you all the costs up front. I was told that there would be $75.00 move-in fee but it was waived. The charges for internet hookup and telephones are also high-worth clarifying before signing. I also noticed the fine print that said that they would charge a cleaning fee on departure and also charge for forwarding mail etc post departure. BUT\r
\r
POSITIVES\r
The staff is fantastic, especially the person I dealt with most-Tara, the center manager. She waived the move in fee, was very reasonable on internet charges, and agreed that there would be no forwarding mail fees if I wasnt using Regus mail services, nor would they charge me exhorbitant clean up fees if my office was clean on departure. She and the admin staff are ready to help with everything including faxing, scanning etc-some of it for a small fee which we know of up front. \r
\r
The kitchen, restrooms are always clean. The place is well lighted. The atmosphere is professional -very conducive to work. I can get twice as much work done here compared to home. \r
\r
There are other bonuses-they provide free coupons for admin support, scanning and meeting room use. They have an excellent meeting room with all facilities which I can use for free upto 8 hours. We held a group meeting here without paying an extra dime. All in all, once you know what you are signing up for, there are no other surprises except good ones
