Regina's Maids

Heed the advice you'll find all over the internet and Do Not Use Regina's Maids! When I first moved to the area I used them because it was easy and I was too lazy to ask for recommendations from people I knew - big mistake. They came to my home weekly for 8 months, always at a different time - they give you a window of a few hours but regularly they arrived after that window had closed and I had to call them to find out when they would arrive - they always send different cleaners so I did not want them to have a copy of my keys, which brings me to my next point... Because they always send different cleaners, the quality of the cleaning varies widely, and they don't get to know your preferences. Supposedly you can call the office to ask for specific things to be done, but in my experience it never was communicated to the cleaners cleaning my home. But I finally had it with them when one day they left behind several deep scratches ranging from 4 to 6 feet, on my hardwood floors which had been refinished 3 months prior. I'm a pretty reasonable person, so I called the office to let them know. I was told they would send a manager and a floor repair person to take a look, and that it would be taken care of... (you'll note that they love to advertise that they are insured).... Not two but four - 4 - men showed up at my home - the owner, a manager, and two supposed floor men. The owner was loud, obnoxious, intimidating and essentially accused me of lying about his cleaners leaving the scratches. If he was going to repair it, he was not going to go through his insurance company is what he said, and he said a lot during that visit, continuing on even as my baby cried. You can imagine the scene. The floor guys men said that my floors needed to be completely redone. I should sue them but I just can't deal with a lawsuit or having to move out of my home while my floors are redone. So the scratches are still there. Don't use Regina's Maids. They deserve to go out of business. more

Really happy with the service. Completely satisfied. Very happy to find this kind of excellent service in Jersey city. The whole team from Customer rep. to the cleaning people are very cooperative and lots of thanks for their services. more

I don't have a bad word to say about these guys. My apartment is now the cleanest it has ever been and I'm so happy about it! It's the first time I've used a cleaning service and I wasn't sure what to expect. I was really worried having complete strangers come into my home while I was at work, but it worked out perfectly. Not a single problem. There is obviously a lot of integrity to this company. But just as an important they did an amazing job with the cleaning. My place has literally never been cleaner! It's sparking! I can't wait to mess it up a bit so they can come again and put everything back the way it's supposed to be! more

I've used these guys for several months now and they are excellent. They arrive on time, they clean beautifully - and most of all, quickly. I've found the maids and the company to work with complete integrity. There has never been a problem with the charges or anything. Oh and one thing I love is that they bring their own cleaning supplies and they don't charge extra for it. I can't tell you how wonderful it is to get my whole apartment cleaned even if I don't have a single cleaning supply in sight! more

I have used this service several times, but the most recent time will be the last. They quoted me at $90 but then charged me by the hour, so imagine my surprise when I got billed $235. Do not listen to anything they quote you at, it is their word against yours for how long their maids were there, and they were unwilling to even discuss. Plus, they moved all my furniture and broke a lamp. I've never been more mislead or unsatisfied with a service and if you are looking for a good service DO NOT USE them. I'd give it no stars but the apt. was still cleaner then it was before they were there. more

Only the first few cleanings were good. After I became a regular, the service deteriorated. My kitchen became sticky and my sofa accumulated dust balls. Also, instead of using their own supplies, they used use half a roll of paper towel everytime when they came (besides, who cleans kitchen properly with paper towels anyway? No wonder it became sticky!). more

I used Regina's Maids for the first time last week and I was so impressed. I had never used a cleaning service before so I wasnt sure what to expect. I wish I had called sooner. They were pleasant, professional, on time, and left my house spotless. I decided to have them come in on a monthly basis. Extremely satisfied! more

I’ve recently moved from Texas and I tried to clean my new condo by myself but realized the place needed more work than I thought. I called Regina’s Maids last minute and they were able to come that afternoon ,which was great!!! I was so pleased with the cleaning that I scheduled service with them for twice a month. Being that I travel a lot it’s hard for me to keep up with housework. They are very trust worthy and polite. So glad I called ! more

Have been using this service for a while now, maybe 5 yrs. They are always on time and I feel I can trust them with my place. Prices are competitive and they have been around for a long time. I would recommend them to anyone. Never had an issue with them. more

They did a poor job cleaning (multple things missed that were specifically asked), they were in a rush to leave (I went to the store while they were cleaning and they were gone when I came back 15 min later. And when they left, they took all of my cleaing supplies, (since I was moving out they assumed I wouldn't need it!). On top of all that, the lady was annoyed that I asked for my stuff back as if because I was moving out I didn't need it. Never use these people, this event was over two yrs ago and I am still pissed about it. I only gave one star to show that I didn't forget to rate it, otherwise negative 10! more

I contracted with Regina Maids for bi-weekly cleaning. I spoke with Jose and was told that I would be charged the hourly rate for the first cleaning and but would receive 25% off of my first cleaning and all subsequent cleanings would be $85.60. The first cleaning occurred January 13th. I left a blank check with my mother because I didn't know how long it would take. They charged me $160.50 which was 3 hours worth of cleaning but did not include the 25% off. They contacted me and I spoke with Donna and she said that the difference should be taken off of the next cleaning. I agreed. They returned on January 27th and told my mother that it was $107 for the cleaning. This, again, was another overcharge, not only didn't deduct the 25% from the initial cleaning it was more than the $85.60 agreed upon for even one cleaning. I called on the 28th but there was a blizzard here so they were closed. I called again on the 31st and spoke with Donna. She said to take all of the overpayments off and that my next charge should be $24.60 (technically it should've been $24.18 but I'm not quibbling over a few cents). I left the check for $24.60. The maids refused the check and proceeded to argue with my elderly disabled mother in front of her friend about the amount of the check saying that this time I owed $135! I called Donna she said not to worry about it. They had on file that I had a credit and the correct amount was $24.60. This was just great but at this point the maids had already made my mother late to pick up my daughter, leaving my 10 year old standing outside waiting. I checked my bank account yesterday and they did an unauthorized charge for $85.60. I called and spoke with Donna and She said they would refund it. I spoke with my bank and they have made no effort at all to refund the money. I have since disputed the charge. This is poor business practice in the extreme and the charge is downright fraudulent. more

I Called Regina's Maids for an estimate to clean my Home.I used them awhile ago many times,But I was out of town On Business.Their Prices were $10 more,but I knew what I was getting.I go by their offices meet the friendly office staff.I gave them my updated credit card information.They still had my keys secured.They did the job great as usual.It feels good to know they are fully insured and have an actual office to visit,not someone working out of the trunk of their car. My condo was burglarized an hour after this service left my condo. No sign of forced entry at both doors (down stairs main entrance of the building) and the actual door of my home. I work from home and the only people who knew I was going to be away for the rest of the day (after I let them in) was the cleaning personnel. When this happened the cops contacted their main office to just get the run around for hours from the girls answering the phone. They showed no concern in what had happened and were not helpful at all. I WILL NEVER USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN!!! more

In response to the last comment to Regina’s Maids ~ in all fairness it is extremely questionable as to why a client would continue to use our service for over two years on a weekly basis if in fact were both dissatisfied and had several unresolved breakage issues. Regina's maid services are very bad in general. The cleaning is absolutely not worth the price you are paying (dust not fully done, it is only vacuum cleaning here and there). And I know what I am talking about as I have been using them on a weekly basis. Many objects have been broken by this company over the past years. We spent hours on the phone trying to be reimbursed. After much too many tentatives and lack of cooperation ("sorry, your records got lost", "sorry, the person you talked last time left the company", etc...), we just stopped trying. After approx. 2 years of services with declining quality, and other damages (to our sofa), we finally decided to just stop once and for all. I just regret we have not done it earlier. While they were trying to save us as customers, we re-explained that we were still waiting for them to reimburse the damages. In response, the man who is apparently the manager just yelled at me and threatened me, saying that the cleaning ladies had been complaining for harassment, that we treated them like slaves, and even mentioned some inappropriate behaviors we would have had!! These are just lies. These people are not only bad professionals, they are dangerous and threatening. If you want peace of mind and have a good cleaning, do not use their services. They will insult you and threaten you at your first complaint. more

Regina's Maids is the worst. Used them for bi-weekly cleaning for 8 months. Every time I asked them to use my cleaning cloths and mop. Every time the ignored me and used their dirty rags that they used to clean someone else's house. They only clean what's right out in front. My furniture hasn't been dusted since the first cleaning. Stuff all over the floor and carpet after they've supposedly cleaned it. No quality control. Not once did a manager show up to check the work in 8 months. Don't waste your money! more

I haven't used Reginas Maids in 5 years. I spoke to a friend of mine who lives in my building who suggested I give them a second chance since they are under new management. I'm very glad I did, now I know why they've been around for 30+ years. Very trustworthy ! Pros: New management, customer service Cons: None at all more

I received a gift certificate to Regina's Maids for my birthday this year. I have to admit, it was one of the best gifts ever. I am a working mother of a 2 year old child, and even though i try to keep up with everything in our home it is extremely difficult sometimes. I never had a cleaning service and was a little skeptical, but I called Regina's to inquire about there rates,services ect. So happy that I did! The salesman i spoke with was so helpful and polite. We scheduled my first cleaning, and i was AMAZED at the outcome!!! My home is spotless. The maids were wonderful. I have decided to have them come back on a monthly basis. They have made my life so much easier. Dont believe all of the negative reviews. Im glad I didnt!! Pros: exceptional customer service,professional,on time Cons: none so far more

I was looking for a cleaning service because I recently had my second child and needed some help around the house. I looked into this very seriously because I would basically have strangers in my home and I wanted to make sure I chose the best..well it was very hard because finding positive reviews on a company was nearly impossible. People only seem to post when they have a negative experience. Well after some leg work I decided to go with Regina's and I am SO glad I did. The girls did a wonderful job and were very courteous and receptive to all of my requests. The cleaners showed up when they said they would and by the way the salesman I spoke to was very nice and gave me all the information I needed. I would suggest this company to anyonelooking for a great cleaning service. Don't go by all these reviews...if you have a good experience be sure to let people know. That is exactly what I did. I was very pleased with using Regina's Maids. The girls were very nice and followed very deatiled instructions. They took their time in cleaning my place and I loved how they did their work. I have recently scheduled montly services and I am going to recommend Regina's Maids to other people that I know. Don't always believe what you read, they did an aswesome job in my place!
