extremely disappointed. my family & i went out for a day together & thought about going to the redwood for dinner, bad idea. first of all i believe the owners daughter was our waitress, or whatever you'd like to call what she does, and when taking our order i ask ""do you have smelt?"" now it says seasonal so i'm aware of them saying no, which was the case so then i ask if they have salmon, nope, & i recall anyone i've ever known to ask about the salmon they never have it...so why is it on the menu?! well already irritated with the so called service, we take our seats & patiently wait for our food. well when handing my plate over the chicken leg on my plate falls off & lands in my mothers old fashioned, we laugh for a second cuz it was kinda funny, until we realized the waitress pretty much walked away without an ""i'm sorry"" or ""let me replace those for you"" i mean are you serious?! i have never been so infuriated at a restaurant in my life. i was mind boggled. so then when we asked for them to replace her drink they ruined or the chicken leg of mine they ruined she was snotty brough back a lil leg on a plate & like just tossed it on the table with no reguard. never had such poor service from ADULTS in my life. someone should have taught them customer service before giving them a business they clearly cant carry. more

I have been here many times and have had most everything on the menu. I have never had a bad meal at the Redwood. Now that they have added tenderloin on Saturday and Sunday, I have another new favorite. I have not had a better steak in town! The atmosphere in the new building is very comfortable. Keep it up! more

First let me say you get what you pay for. If you want a cheap perch plate just go to Coaches Corner. If you want a good drink and a great fish plate worth the price go to Redwood Inn. Pros: Great Perch and Smelt Plate Cons: The wait more

Just paid 31$ for a Perch Plate and Junior Perch Plate. Didn't realize how ridiculous that price was until I was half way home. I should have challenged the old dude at the register, but the place was packed and I was more concerned with getting out the door. This is the second time I got ripped off by this guy. The last time he shorted me 2 bucks change. Last time we go there. Keep an eye on what they charge you. Pros: Fish and Chicken are pretty good. Cons: Ripped off twice more

Took the whole family for a nice Sunday dinner, had been told many good things about the Redwood Inn so gave it a shot. We ordered several plates with baked potato however all plates came with fries. There were several plates of perch ordered within our party. One of the plates the fish was rubbery and colored different then the others. When it was brought to the staff's attention the plate was taken back, when it was returned it was the same fish as we had broken of a portion for the other fish eaters at the table to try to make sure we were not over reacting. We weren't and when the fish was brought back it appeared to be the same fish just dropped in a fryer again. Again when brought to the attention of the staff we were told that we were free loaders additionally we were told several times to F*** Off by ownership no less. I have never in my life been treated so poorly. Yes the plate was taken off the bill however hardly compensates for the treatment. We will never return nor will I ever recommend anyone to visit. Best perch and broasted chicken I have ever had! Once I tell someone about this place they get hooked on it. As for a previous negative review, when you order fish and french fries to go and it sits in a styrofoam container it will get soggy. My fries from McDonalds get soggy from the ride home thats why I eat them before I get home. If you get something to go pick the chicken or baked fish otherwise It is just best to eat there. I wouldnt go to a steak house and order a steak to go and expect it to be as good when I get home. Pros: hot fresh and never a bad meal Cons: busy more

The Redwood has, by far, the best perch fry in Green Bay. It is hand breaded everyday. Very fresh. You will not be disappointed by the taste of this perch fry. Pros: Best perch Cons: Wait more

Best Friday-night Fish Fry we've had since ""being up nort'""!!! As long as you don't mind the crowd (that alone tells you it's great food) and the owners/waitstaff being brusque (can't blame them with how busy they are) you will get the best fish fry around! Go there with a LOT of friends, have a few drinks, and celebrate life in a big small-town tavern. The atmosphere is jovial and the food well worth the wait. Don't go there if all you want is paperboard food from a typical restaurant chain because all they serve you here is FRESH, HOT and DELICIOUS!!! Pros: Really amazing food and terrific prices. Fun place Cons: Crowded and the waitstaff is rather terse, but who cares? I can handle it. more

We picked up a carry out fish fry. When we got home, the fries were soggy and everything was cold! How disgusting and frustrating to say the least!!! The fish fry's were obviously sitting out for a long time before we picked them up. Paid $24 for the two fish frys (remember not a reasonable price). Went back and politely asked for either an new fish fry or my money back (I didn't just pay $24 for a bad fish fry). I believe it was the owner I spoke with and he was very nasty about asking me what was wrong with it. He said he would give me my money back and here are his exact words ""PLEASE DO ME A FAVOR AND DO NOT COME BACK HERE""!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now tell me that's not horrible management/ownership. I would definitely NOT recommend going to the Redwood Inn. If they continue to treat customers the way they did to me, they will be closed down soon! I understand they were busy, BUT the situation was not handled in a professional manner. Apparently they don't care about their customers. more
