Redmond Transmission & Auto Repair has been taking care of me and my cars for probably ten years or more, and they always do a good job. They figure out what you need, and they take care of you. They work hard to make sure everything always comes out right. I can count on them to get the job done right! Redmond Transmission & Auto Repair was recommended to us by another repair shop that did not do transmissions. They worked on a mini-van for us that ended up having an issue with the sensors . They took care of the issue with no additional charges. Additionally, we have also had them rebuild a transmission for us on another car that we were able to get a couple more years use out of. My son, who is in the service, is on a limited income and they ran a diagnostic test on his vehicle for him. Leo, the owner, told him everything that needed to be done and that he could actually take care of the items himself to save money. Leo has also bought our old cars from us that we were just going to get rid of and has been able to resell them through his church to somebody in need. Redmond Transmission & Auto Repair is a great company and Leo is a stand up guy! more

My wife and I have been going to Redmond Transmission & Auto Repair for twenty-five years or so, and we have had nothing but great experiences. Over the years, we have brought our two cars here. Early on in our marriage when we first moved into the area, we needed work done that was quite expensive for us at that point in our marriage. Leo allowed us to pay that off in installments and postdated checks. That was extremely helpful to us. The whole staff is very professional. I know that I can always trust that my car is being taken care of here. If I can do something myself, they are also willing to help me. They sometimes let me into the shop, so I can watch how they do little things, like changing out blinker bulbs. In my opinion, you can't pay for that kind of service. They never overcharge me for things. Even when I needed new bulbs for my blinkers, they replaced all of them, and just charged me for the bulbs and not the service. Leo has really become like a friend. Whenever I go in for service, we chat for 10-15 minutes about what's going on in our lives. I even sold him one of my cars for his son. I have recommended these guys to my sister-in-law, her family, and my son, too. I will continue to recommend them because of their professionalism and sincerity. more

I bought a used car and had Redmond Transmission inspect it and care for any issues. It turned out well. I feel like Leo's heart is in the right place to fix things the right way, I appreciate that. At the same time, it does him a disservice if I can't afford to fix it the right way and he seems almost unwilling to offer any other option. I can accept doing things halfway, for instance, I scraped a pole and got a dent in my car and went to another place just to get it dinged out instead of doing the whole official process (painting it over and everything). They said they could do that and dinged the dent out the best they could. With Leo, he fixed my rear brakes and said that my pads looked thin so he wanted to replace them. So I said sure, go ahead. Then he says he wants to replace the rotors but I wasn't sure whether or not to trust him to only recommend things I needed. That kind of issue causes skepticism. I can understand if he's just protecting his own liability with his work and he is very willing to explain things and answer any questions I have. He's really friendly and takes his time but he doesn't make me feel confident that he's giving me all the details so I can't offer for him to just do a half (more affordable) fix. more

Any kind of problem I have I take it down there and he takes care of it. Most recently he fixed the brakes on my van. more

I can see that other folks have had a different experience but I found Leo to be one of the rudest and most arrogant business owners around here. Also, extremely pretentious, go to him if you are willing to hear stuff like "" you dont value your car, you are not my kind of customer, Big companies like Honda give you crappy service and slime you out of warranty."" And attempts to use all that to charge at least 500 dollars more than the Honda dealership claiming he puts in the original parts and they do not. Very irritating and annoying. May be a good workman, but I am not going to try to find that out... more

I dont trust car repair mechanics; that has been my opinion for years now. I needed transmission work and started looking for a shop to do it. I looked at Redmond Transmission's web page and read the reviews; however, I was still skeptical, so I stopped by and talked with Leo and looked the shop over. I have now not only had a transmission rebuilt, but have had a gas tank replaced and then head gaskets replaced. I've been a customer of theirs for that long because of their customer service: they're really good as far as explaining things and not making you feel as if they're trying to fix something that isn't broken. Redmond Tranmission also offers reasonable prices. They've done work on every vehicle I've had over the last ten years. Right now they take care of my Suburban. I've been a customer of his for about three years, and I just can't imagine going anywhere else! I have worked closely with Leo and his staff and they are amazing. I took my car to Leo at Redmond Transmission after receiving the news from a Ford Dealership that I needed a new transmission on my 2008 Ford Escape and was just 2,000 miles out of warranty. Leo recommended to get my car out of the dealership and take it to a specialist who could confirm the transmission actually needed replacing or just needed a few new parts. Leo confirmed that the transmission did need to be replaced but recommended I call Ford and try to work with them since I was so close to being covered by my warranty. He hated to charge me to fix my car if there was any way Ford would be able to help me. They were able to offer me a discount that made it worth it to take it back to the dealership. Leo spent several hours looking at my car and researching the problem for me and he even met with the tow truck to get my car out of his shop and back to the dealership. After all of this he did not charge me a penny for his time! He said he felt bad about the situation and just wanted me to get help getting my car fixed. Leo's kindness and support created a customer for life. I will refer his shop to everyone and continue to take my car to him for future services. Thanks Leo! more

I took our ailing vehicle to Leo to have it nursed along until we could get another. He was upfront about what HAD to be done and what COULD be done to make it run better. The other folk I'd worked with made it seem like the car had to have a major overhaul to drive it again, but that wasn't the case here. I was able to get the car back from the ailing state and make an educated decision on what more to put into it. I've told my friends about Redmond T&R and will take future vehicles to them without pause. They even accommodated our one car, no ride status! Thanks, Leo! I have used Redmond Transmission for quite awhile, probably 4 or 5 years. They have always gone in to find the problem. They focus on the problem and don't try to over extend the service they are doing. My truck is going up in miles, and they have kept it running well. Redmond Transmission stands behind their work. I have had a couple of parts fail, and they stand behind the warranty even if the manufacturer won't. Redmond Transmission is generally pretty timely in their repairs. If you need something done right away they will try to get it done. They are generally really responsive to what you need. They are basically a good, solid, reliable, independent repair shop. more

I have worked with Redmond Transmission for probably 10 years on my personal cars. I have had negative experiences with auto mechanics in the past, and was referred to Redmond Transmission by a fellow worker. That is how I started using them. They have been so honest. They took a look at the situation and then give me an honest answer. The repairs have been fantastic. A few times the product, like a Napa car part, that they put in didn't last as long as it should have, or have been faulty, and they always replace them. I have nothing negative to say about them because the relationship has been phenomenal. more
