My husband and I have been to the Red Rooster for lunch about 5 times. We love the chicken salad and apple salad. The desserts are out of this world. I agree that it is not the place for children. It is set up like a Tea Room. We have found Linda and her family (the owners) very friendly. We only take our out-of-town guests to our favorite places, and all of them want to visit the Red Rooster again and again when they come back to East Tenn. I recommend you call ahead to make sure of their days and times of operation. Get there early, for when they run out of a particular food, Linda won't be cooking any more of it until the next day. more

Great place for lunch 2/24/2010

Several friends and I had lunch today at the Red Rooster, great food, great service and very friendly workers. The lady (Linda) that perpares the food is one of the owners and always pleasant to talk with. Her husband and son are the staff and lots of fun to cut-up with. Restaurant Policy Wrong 2/20/2008

I am writing in regard to the Feb. 3 article about the Red Rooster in Bristol Tennessee. This restaurant may seem very family friendly, but it is not that at all. My 18-month-old son and I met my sister-in-law there one day for lunch a few months back. My sister-in-law loved the restaurant and what it had to offer. I had eaten there once and it was good. more
