Red Rock Cafe

Did they sell Red Rock? I have been there several times over the years and could not believe the decline in food and service. The one thing I did notice were the prices were increased greatly. Had lunch on New Years day with 4 other people. Ordered 4 beef brisket and 1 BBQ chicken special and everyone was disappointed. . The meat was dry, the fries were cold and the cole slaw tasted old. \r \r The service was also a disappointment. They messed up one order and insisted that we were the ones who made the mistake. I guess they thought there would be no tip because they added a $12 service charge and listed as a “Large Group Charge” I checked the menu and it did say they MAY add a charge for 5 or more with the key word being “may”. Despite the mistake service and food, I would have tipped anyway however I tip 15% not the 18% they added. \r \r After eating there and experiencing the poor food, service then the insult of adding a service fee, New Years Day 2010 will be the last time I ever eat there.\r more

Visited this place based on the 2 other reviews and they were right on. The Barbecue is flavorful and tender. The staff is friendly and attentive. The place is small though so come early or be prepared to wait. You might be better off phoning your order in and taking your meal to enjoy down by the river. When we want a really good burger, we always go here but the bbq is awesome as well. Besides the great food the one thing that keeps bringing us back is the friendly wait staff. Never a grumpy one in the bunch. The dining room is intimate but we've always gotten a table. We figure even if the place is full we can always get take-out from the back. \r \r The place is pretty homey and that makes a person feel right at home from the start. We've never had to wait long for our food and it is always nice and hot. The only thing I would change is I've never seen desserts on the menu. I'm always in search of good BBQ and I'm new to the area and I found here at Red Rock Cafe. The place is VERY small, but the food is VERY big (serving and flavor). It's worth it when there is not table room to just sit at the bar and chow down. My favorite is the pulled pork Sandwich with a side of their baked beans (not out of the can beans). Accompany it with a beer from the tap and big smile from the waitress taking your order and you have the ingredients of an inexpensive meal that is very satisfying.
