Great food, great service 11/5/2005

Memphis style BBQ and blues music -- Red Hot & Blue is a favorite restaurant of mine here in Joplin. They have great ribs, catfish, and sausage platters, and a friendly staff. Some say it looks like a Beale street knockoff, but I guess I wouldn't really know since I grew up in this area -- I personally think that the atmosphere is great! Good BBQ 11/1/2005

While Red, Hot & Blue does come across as somewhat of a 'cheap' Beale street knock-off, their food is definatley worth the trip! Their pulled pork sandwich is great, and the potato salad is really what our trips to Red, Hot & Blue are all about! Yumm! more

Red, Hot, and Blue: Memphis Style Comes to the Four States 6/2/2005

At Red, Hot, and Blue, they specialize in Memphis style barbeque and burgers. Both are tasty and the menu offers other dishes as well. Try the Onion loaf - french fried onions pressed into a loaf with a sweet, barbeque dip for an appetizer. The ambiance is nice - it's meant to look and feel like Beale Street and it works as long as you haven't been to the real place. If you're familiar with Beale Street at all, then the decor comes off as a cheap imitation but it's not bad for the Ozarks. PROS: Good barbeque and burgers CONS: Lacks real Beale Street ambiance more
