I recently moved from Santa Clara into Manhattan, and I knew I couldn't do it on my own even though I didn't have a ton of stuff. win van lines had good reviews, so I got a quote and decided to hire them. I only scheduled a week in advance, and they were really accommodating. In total, it cost me just over $1250 for two guys and a truck to move my things. They showed up right on time at 9 a.m. on a Saturday. I had everything packed beforehand, but they brought special boxes for my TV and lamps. It took them about 20 minutes to load up their truck and then we both left to meet them at my Manhattan apartment. When they arrived on the UWS, they immediately worked out a system for moving things up to my fifth-floor walk-up. I felt so bad for them because it was really hot out, but I decided to tip generously. They finished getting everything in my new apartment at 12:30 am One of the movers, Scott, was really friendly and made a lot of small talk. It made me feel comfortable with having him handling everything I own. I even saw him a few days later and he remembered me. It's hard to move these days, but these guys will make it fast, easy and relatively affordable. more

To Whom It May Concern I used win van lines to move me from New York City to CA. I went from a normal size house to a retirement community, but I had a nice size cottage, so there was much to move. Most movers I called would not give me a definite date for both loading and unloading, but it was very important to me that they come to load one day, we travel the next day, and they unload the following day. win was the only one who gave it some thought, and then called me to say they would do it my way!! That was extremely important to me, and it was an indication that they did try to make their customers happy. The packing crew came on time, spent the entire day packing, and we were to meet in CA 2 days later. Alto the crew could use a computer to plot their route from NY to CA; my retirement community was so new that my street address would not be in the computer. I gave the man in charge the only phone no. I had at the retirement community. When my son and I arrived in CA, we were told the head man of Safeway had called to find out the exact spot they were to deliver my furniture, and to pinpoint the time a little closer. I was very impressed with that! The van arrived when it was supposed to, the crew unloaded all of the furniture and boxes in the midst of workmen coming and going everywhere, but they got the furniture put together properly and the boxes stored neatly in one section of the living room. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs to hire a moving company. They were professional, reliable, and careful. Moving is not for the faint-hearted, but they made a terrible chore as tolerable as could be expected of any company. more

I cannot thank you guys enough for making our move such a hassle free and painless one! I found win van lines on the web and decided to give them a try after pricing out a few on the list. They were by far the most reasonably priced. Another moving company that I called told me I need THREE guys to move our tiny 2 bedroom in law at $150/hour! Whatever!! On the day of our move, I was a bit nervous as I did not receive any phone calls from the movers or the owner. So I called the main number and must have talked to the owner. He assured me that his movers will call me after their first job and sure enough, they did! We had booked them for 2pm on a Saturday and they were even early! Two guys showed up and went to work immediately. We were moving from an in law in Tracy to Berkeley. They were able to wrap up all of our furniture in just under 2 hours and got to our new place. They even gave us wardrobe boxes with no extra charge! Of course, we had to give them back once we got to our new place, but some places charge you for ""renting"" their materials! They were so fast, efficient and careful with all of our furniture that we really didn't have to worry about anything. I've moved quite a few times now and this is by far the best experience I've had with movers. We will definitely use them again when the time comes! more

Win van lines has moved me twice now, from a house to an apartment, and then 2.5 years later into another apartment. First time was in the middle of a hot spell and the second time in between rainstorms. The first time they finished in under two hours, but the more recent move required them to haul all of my junk (too many boxes of booze and books) up a long flight of stairs and it took an extra hour. They've always been exceedingly cheerful and very efficient. Nothing breaks, and they don't track mud all over freshly-cleaned carpets. These are good things. Pros: Efficient and professional more

really worst company i have ever seen in the whole wide world. gave wrong estimation, worst packing, never used proper packing materials to pack, lot of leakage, breakage,worst customer service, not admitting their mistakes, did not reassemble the bunk beds and furnitures, not responding calls, lot of things......please do not choose this movers. worst in the world........ This was the first time that I moved and did not move myself, but instead paid someone to move me. I usually wouldn't take the time to write a review, but if I can help one person to make the right decision on which mover to use... it is worth it.. Definitely WIN VANLINES and the crew was the right choice. The gentlemen showed up on time and were gentlemen the entire time. Their spirits were great (very evident with their hard work and singing). My new location required them to go up 3 flights of stairs with no elevators. Nothing changed. They worked hard and as a team and moved me in what I thought was record time... and nothing was broken, no walls damaged. Thanks guys for a job well done. I just wanted to Thank win movers for the great job they did on my move. They gave me a great quote and that's the reason why I decided to go with them. I was a little afraid that they would tack on extra charges at the end, but my worries were not necessary. When the move was over, I payed them the original quote price. I had always done moves on my own but I finally had enough stuff and I am worried about a potential back injury that I decided to hire a mover. In reading different reviews I based my choice on google :) I used win van lines as one review convinced me ""It is worth the money"" so I used them. They were EXCELLENT! They had me moved from a storage unit to my apartment in three hours. They were fast, efficient, and very professional. I used a mover off craigs list to move my old apartment and into a moving truck to drive to CA which was like night and day. Cheap and unprofessional versus professionals, it was worth the extra money. They were very nice as my couch would not fit in the new apartment and one of the guys offered to pull it through the window for free. They were really great and it was worth every penny.
