I went their with 35 records for Sumter Bruton to look at. He is one of the owners. Many of these were pretty rare and mint condition. He looked at one box set (George Harrison - 'All Things Must Pass') and gave me this line about not having the money then to buy them. He said if I would leave them there he would do an inventory and call me with a "fair" price. I waited for a call and got no answer, called and called again. When I came back (with no phone call to back) he said he left the albums in the store and "people just went through them". He said he would give me $15. He told me I should be glad to get that. That is what I got for trusting Sumter. more

What a neat place.. I happened upon it when I was down at TCU and was surprised at what a great little shop it was. It is hard to find records these days and they sure did have a bunch. I ended up buying some for friends and a couple for my self! Prices are good and I like the fact that it is a old store that has stuck it out and stayed strong! more

Record town is a neat place to go. Its around by Texas Christian University. The people who work there are very nice and don't mind helping you find what your looking for. Great place to go if you are looking for somewhere diffternt to go. I love to go there during my lunch break. more

this is a little family owned record store right near tcu on university. its been there as long as i can remember. nice older people own it and work there. they are very nice and enjoy younger people coming in. i bought a really nice beatles album there as a gift and was impressed with thier service. such a neat place. i will be sad if i ever see it go. more

Good for vinyl and unique finds 7/27/2005

Record Town has been around for ages. I read somewhere that Record Town is Fort Worth's second oldest music shop. It is really just fun to go in there and root around in their wide selection of vinyl. Of course, they have CDs and stuff too, but the records are what they're known for. Going into Record Town is a nostalgic experience. This family-owned business is worth your time. more
