Working with this company was red flag after red flag. We picked them without doing our due diligence and paid the price for it. Do yourself a favor and ask them for all of their hidden fees upfront in writing! When we sat down to sign contracts, they hit us with a $295 set up fee (way higher than other companies) after never mentioning it in our negotiations; it would have been nice to know given that full disclosure is good business. Then they tell you that they are going to run a safety inspection on your property nonchalantly; what they fail to mention in the contract or anywhere else is that it costs you an EXTRA $125 PER UNIT! We literally fought our account manager over the phone and he refused to budge or negotiate with us. It was outright unethical of them to charge us this amount without disclosing it clearly. I guarantee you they will respond to this review and say that they “do tell you about this charge,” but it is in the form of sneaky language in the contract and not solid numbers. It says in the contract, “Maintenance calls will be $49 per hour per person on site (this in itself is ridiculously expensive) or a SET FEE AS DETERMINED BY REAL CAPITAL GROUP (apparently a safety inspection or checking if the smoke detectors work; is considered maintenance? Why don’t they say with an extra 8 words in the contract that it would cost an extra $125 per unit? Because they know it is BULL, so they neglect to state it!).” Be careful, they are not there to help you like they say, they are there to rob you of your profits. We lost $725 of our $1900 first month’s rent with them, don’t think it won’t happen to you. It was a costly mistake that I hope to help others avoid. Also, if you hire them, be prepared to micro manage them as they will get nothing done unless you pester them. What was I paying them for? Do yourself a favor and look at all of your options before hiring these people, I honestly don’t understand how they are still in business the way they treat their clients. We fired them after a month!
