Reading Books

This bookstore was a nice surprise...it has a cozy feel to it without being cluttered or crowded. The books are superbly organized and in nice condition for used books. I didn't look at prices on too many but the ones I saw were definitely decent. The proprietor and her assistant were extremely friendly and helpful. I plan on making a trip back soon when I have a few hours to browse! more

This bookstore is a small, quaint place buried in a corner of Rockford. It has a vast selection of used books that are ever-changing due to the store's buyback policy. There is a cozy atmosphere that is ideal for browsing. The owner is very knowledgeable and can usually help you find what you are looking for. The prices are fantastic -- you can leave with an armful for under $20. Pros: You could spend hours browsing and never see all the books! more

Well organized for a used bookshop, you might find a near fine first edition of a cherished story you long missed. Or even discover you DO like romance novels; the second level is overwhelmed with them!\r \r Reading books accepts your used books in their best condition, for trade. I went in with about 20 books and came out with 8 new books and about 10 of my originals. Good trades would be recent fiction or non fiction, in very good to near fine condition. Loads of Mysteries and an ample selection of my favorite: SciFi/Fantasy. Then encourage you to return with your trade ins when you are finished. Sort of a recycle of literary proportions!
