For our addition, we wanted to pursue green construction. When we approached Carl, the owner, he hadn't previously had any customers who desired environmentally friendly building materials and practices, yet, in Carl's typical approach to new challenges, he expressed excitement at the prospect. He even appeared with us in a regular column of Natural Home Magazine titled ""Can This House Be Greened"". While we initially made many promises to research building material alternatives for the wide range of products that go into a building, it was really Carl who took our green intentions and made them a reality by spending many hours researching and talking on the phone with various vendors.
