Worst

Venue doesn't help in anyway to help promote shows or events!!! Spent much money on venue rental $120 for early evening slot or 15% which ever is greater and personal advertising....

I love the rebar 3/9/2006

It is so fun to go there.... I like the fact you can go in and feel very comfortable.... It is not a meat market like other nightclubs..... Definitely for all who like to go out this is the place to go.... more

So much fun! 8/20/2005

Re-Bar is not just any old night on the town! Though many nights offer the usual drinks and dancing kind of fare, they also offer shows that are absolutely, hilariously fun! Non-professional actors portray scenes from popular movies such as Footloose, Flashdance, and Fame, as well as Dirty Dancing. It is informal and raucous, and very approachable for the queer and non-queer alike. Check their schedule in the local pages to find the nights for shows. They never fail to impress and amuse! more

Editorial
  • The Scene
"No minors, drunks, drugs, bigots, or loudmouths," commands the sign at the entrance. Add extra admonitions against homophobes and the humorless and you've got Re-bar's funky humanist vibe in a nutshell. From the art on the walls to the home-grown celebrity DJs in the booth to the crowd-pleasing camp on the stage, it's a peerless social haven for fun-loving, artsy freaks and those who love them.

    The Draw
Showing staples like Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Dina Martina, and performances from the Brown Derby Series, Re-bar has been a mainstay of alternative theater in the Seattle area. Though usually dark and noisy there's something different going on nearly every night of the week here.
