I did not hire them. They were contracted to do work for my neighbor behind me. they found that in order to do the work, they needed to come through our property. They asked, and explained what they were going to do. I asked if they could pull any downed trees onto my property for firewood use. more

A good experience 7/9/2009

I found Ray's Tree Service on Angie's List web site where they have an 'A' rating and by far the most reviews of any tree service in town. Before calling them I also checked them out with the Better Business and saw they have an A+ rating. I called them to remove a branch that came down on my roof in the storm last month. They came out that evening and did the work the next morning. They also helped me deal with my insurance company that was paying for the damage. Thanks Ray! Pros: fast & friendly more

Rays Tree is the Best! 7/9/2009

Ray's is the only tree service I use anymore. Several years ago I used a couple other tree companies and had nothing but problems. Ray's has the equipment and bucket trucks needed to safely reach the trees over my house. I know they are insured (unlike the last guy I used) and they always have someone in the office to answer the phone - which is nice these days when other companies make you leave messages or push buttons to get someone on the phone. Beware of business! 10/17/2005

Ray's did not finish the job as I have requested them to do. They offered a non-descriptive proposal, which I was my fault I did not question more. I did contact this business to clarify the job to be performed, and the rep on the phone assured me that my request was as stated by the proposal. Workers show up unannounced twice, but did not remove all stumps as I requested. I called company to demand a reason for unfinished job, and was told it was my mistake for misinterpreting the contract. Cons: Poor Communication, Expensive more
