I've been taking my dog to Raynham Vet since we adopted him about a year and a half ago. The staff and veterinarian have been great! They also have a boarding service we used last...

Completely avoidable mistake... and no own ownership 7/19/2013

I recently brought my 7 1/2 week old boxer for a new puppy check up. When I arrived I gave them my paperwork from the breeder and told them King had recently received a shot and had his first preventative worm treatment. The receptionist was very friendly . She took my info and made copies to give to the vet Dr. Reamsnyder. When Dr. Reamsnyder came into the treatment room with a needle my wife and I both started telling her that the breeder just took him to have a shot and we were told he doesnt need one right now. She told me its a different shot... I asked her to look in the book i brought to make sure...she said she doesn't have to because the one she's giving him is definitely different. I didn't push the issue because i trusted that she knew what she was doing. Well when I got home I looked at the receipt from this treatment and was upset to see that it was the exact same shot he just had... He is not due for that shot for 3 more weeks! The poor baby was up allll night with ex more

Death of our dog may have been avoided. 2/7/2011

We have used this hospital for 8 years for several of our pets. We have mixed experiences and overall I wouldn't recommend them. We have met a few of the doctors and decided to stick with one in particular that we liked. At one time we had 2 dogs that were receiving care there - one of them had lyme disease and the other did not (to our knowledge). We were faithful to tic and flea treatments but we still had tic problems. Eventually the other dog got very very ill and died from complications of lyme that we were not even aware she had. After getting another puppy, we soon learned that there is a vaccine for lyme disease that we were never even offered. When I confronted them about it they claimed that there were 2 vaccines, one of which they never considered effective enough to use anyway and so never even informed people of, and another newer vaccine which, apparently, they also don't inform pet-owners of. This "newer" vaccine was available at the time we brought our new puppy more
