Terrible customer service, high prices, long wait times on items ordered, and finally incompetent staff. Now that you have the “spark notes” I will expound on the issues.\r • Terrible Customer Service: The Staff, whether knowing they have a contract with CPD or simply have no idea about treatment of customers, O’Herron’s Staff is condescending when speaking, rude, rolls their eyes, sighs and when you inquire about different items you've order the response is ""Have we called you?....'No?'... 'Then we have nothing for you.'""\r • High Prices: Yes most “Cop Shops” are usually high... However, this place is beyond that. Save your money, go online or simply shop somewhere else.\r • Long Wait Times: If you inquire about an item, not in their store, don’t expect a timely response. If you still decide you want to order through them, expect it to take longer than if you ordered it for yourself online…With O’Herron’s higher prices of course. \r • Incompetent Staff: As a sub category to ordering items in this store they will ask for your phone number. Whether you write it down or they do, somehow they manage to input your phone number wrong in their system. This has happened to me three times and others I know multiple times. Also, they claim to know the laws in regards to firearms, FOID cards, and other legal issues but they do not. The info they give is outright false and can get you in trouble.\r Please use other Gun Stores or “Cop Shops.” Places selling Glocks and other weapons (without the wait and high prices, not to mention have better service) near Oak Brook/Lombard is “Law Weapons & Supply” on Butterfield or If you are further North go to “Gat Guns” in East Dundee near the exit at 90/94N and IL25. Bunch of arrogant guys working here. Unfriendly, unhelpful, and plain out rude. Many of the workers steal stuff from this store just to resell online. Avoid this place. more

Great selection of product but the people working there have no clue on customer service. You are treated like you are a child that has no clue on what you need or what you use. You feel that you are putting them out if you have to ask them a question or ask them to get something for you. I'll find somewhere else to spend my money. more

I stopped by the store shortly before Christmas to pick up a gift for a family member. The item I requested was behind the counter and required assistance from an employee. (I believe his name was Nate) He grabbed the item off the shelf and threw it across the counter to me. He them walked away without saying a word. I immediately noticed that it was not the exact item I was looking for. Nate stood approximately 5 feet from me staring at something in a catalog. He could tell I was still standing there but had no intention of helping me get what I needed. It took another employee to walk up and finally get me what I needed. more

All I was asking for was a simple exchange and what I got was an exchange of words. It is over a $52 jacket which wasn't worth the aggravation spent so far. I'd rather donate it to charity than deal with these rude and incompetent clerks again. This wasn't the first time I felt like I was on trial or having the feeling like someone was talking down to me. I have advised ALL my coworkers from the COOK COUNTY SHERIFF'S Office NOT to patron this place when we receive our uniform allowance, etc. Pros: You might not have to pay the new county tax on purchases, but Cons: They are Overpriced and their personnel is the pits! more
