Rapunzel's Salon & Day Spa

Since moving to the Lansdale area about two years ago, I was in search of a new salon as good as the one I went to for over 10 yrs. (which was now too far for me to travel). So before arriving on Rapunzel?s, I had first done some online research and upon reading other reviews of the salon, I decided to give it a shot and called. After speaking with the front desk girl and giving the general background on my hair, explaining that since having a child a year ago, I had begun coloring it myself (box color) and told her I was looking to eventually go lighter than what I had at that point (very dark brown), Megan was recommended to me. I came somewhat equipped with old pictures from what my hair used to look like (blonde) and also came with a picture from a magazine for what I wanted to go along the lines of with new highlights, I still believed my existing hair color was a challenge. First let me say that Megan was awesome in knowing exactly how to tackle things. Her precision in foil placement as well as the color/toner was by far the best. Everything was so precisely done. I walked in the salon not looking so hot, but I walked out with beautiful hair/highlights. I've already received a few compliments and people asking me who did my highlights. From the people at the front desk, to the other stylists, everyone seemed so down-to-earth and friendly. It?s weird that a high end salon with such experienced technicians are located practically right in my backyard. I'll definitely be returning and I imagine will be a future loyal client. At Rapunzel's, everyone cares about you, and it's genuine. Nobody tries to sell you things you don't need, nobody is snobby like at a lot of Day Spas, (except one girl) and they really treat their clientele like you are the reason why their job exists. The front desk staff is great, especially Corina. She is friendly and helpful and always has a beautiful smile on her face. Megan is the queen of color. Krista is the queen of facials. Lori is the queen of Reflexology, Massage & the Vichy Shower. You have to go to all these girls. They will make you look and feel beautiful. Pros: Corina, Megan, Krista and Lori Cons: Roxanne. She is very snobby, opinionated and thinks she knows everything. more

I recently visited Rapunzel's and was very impressed with their professionalism through my entire visit. I am happy they have their policy about consultation before service. I went in with a set idea in my head about how i wanted to look. Thank goodness i didnt do it ! I was informed of the maintnance of the style i wanted , chose something different and was extremely pleased. I highly recommend this salon to anyone thats looking for a a great experience. I've been to Rapunzel's several times and have gotten a cut and color with Timmy. He cut off about 3 inches of my hair and i was amazed how great i looked when he was finished. I've also had a massage with Lori who has hands of gold! The salon is very warm, & inviting. The employees at the salon the i've come in contact with have been nothing but accomidating, and polite. They are a very professional salon and i highly recommend them to anyone. Also, i will continue to go there in the future for any need. I am from bethlehem Pennsylvania. I found the girls at the front desk extremely polite and my friend and I wanted pedicures together so we booked them at night. What I found was the nicest, pedicurists, Roxann and Annie. I was so impressed with the way my feet felt, and so soft, I had Roxann but my friend had Annie and she said her feet felt great as well. We will definately be back. I am going to have a massage done by Roxann, she does that as well. Pros: awesome atmosphere Cons: could not find parking very well more

I've been coming to Rapunzels for quite some time and it's a very warm, welcoming, professional place. I go there for massage regularly and to my dismay, my regular therapist moved and I had to go on a hunt for another one. I booked an appointment with Lori, and let me tell you, she has the most magic hands, the most wonderful touch, and you can tell she is compassionate about what she does. She's been a therapist for a number of years and it shows. She is definitely the best around and I have already referred people to her. When she first started at Rapunzels a year ago I could see her whenever I needed to. Now her clientele has built up so much, everytime I call in to request her, she's booked for weeks! I suggest getting on her maintenance plan so you can get in with her on a regular basis. You will thank yourself, and Lori, THANK YOU!! Pros: everything. Especially Lori! Cons: nothing! more

I go to rapunzels for everythng. I have been going to Dawn for my color highlights for 10 years, just recently started getting massages and facials. I love the new spa they built. This is a high class salon and spa with great service. more

The cut was good. The blowdry was awful. I would think you are supposed to look fabulous after coming out of a salon and with this blowdry, I wasn't close. Then I was pressured into scheduling for full hilights when I only wanted a partial. Once they told me what the cost would be..... I said no way. Not even close to what the web site says. I came from NYC and had amazing hair service for well under what they charge! Needless to say, I cancelled the hilights appointment and I'm not going back. Actually this is not a fake review. I made another appointment to go to a better salon for my color a week after going to this one for the cut! I wrote both reviews on 9/4 which does not mean I had my hair done on that day! I've been to quite a few trendy salons and most are the same high priced and low customer service. I was pleasently surprised with rapunzels. The level of service was excellent and I could tell they cared about my satisfaciton. I loved my color and my cut. Pros: cut, color, experience more

I have been going to rapunzels for over 15 years..I get haircuts and massages regularly. they are top notch I suggest krista for the massage and dawn for the haircuts. The prices are reasonable and you can tell they care. I get compliments on my hair all the time. The massages help with my shoulder pain that is always there. more

They were very nice and friendly however the quality of their work has a lot to be desired for the price. I had partial highlights and cut. The cut was nice the highlights really bad... I paid $200.00 to have chunks of my hair bleached. The day after I had my hair done my mom asked me when I was getting my hair done because it looked bad. I almost feel bad writing this because they are so nice, but after paying $200.00 I feel my hair should look great! Instead I am looking for someone to fix the damage that was done. more

We decided as a group to have a spa party. We looked into many spas but decided on rapunzels. We are very glad we did, the staff was friendly and the services were great. I was feeling very bored with my hair so I decided to try rapunzels. what a differnce I've been stopped constantly about my new look. Dawn is an amazing stylist. I also started going to the spa, I have tried the pedicure which was great and a massage with Krista. I must say not having had a massage before I was nervous but Krista made me feel very comfortable. I was like jello when she was done. I love the look of the spa it has a moraccan feel. The staff is super friendly and the front desk is helpful. I can honestly say I have yet to have anything negative to say about rapunzels. I have a facial scheduled which I am looking forward to. I just purchased alot of gift certificates for my friends and family! I want them to share the same experience I've had. The overall experience of rapunzels is so differn't then what I have experienced at other high end salons. It is not stuffy and there is no attitude of the staff. They are down to earth. I was impressed with the decor and the staff was very friendly. My massage was great just sorry I waited a year to use my gift certificate. I will be asking for another one and won't wait a year this time. Overall a very nice spa and salon with friendly people and great service more

myself and my 3 daughters have been going to rapunzels a long time. we've had spa parties we get our hair done and I go twice a month for massage, we all get our manicures and pedicures done as well and I can't forget our waxing! we love the staff the stylists are great, I've never had a bad massage, the front desk is friendly and helpful. we love to chill and relax it is one of our favorite places to do mother daughter time together. I am buying my daughters full days of beauty so we can spend an entire day together. more
