We straggled in after a day of hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park in Oct. 2004. My husband wanted steak, but nothing seemed to be open on a Tuesday at the beginning of the off season. We found the Rapids, a pricier place than what we would usually choose, but we were starving and decided to splurge a little. It was a cozy inviting place and we were seated next to the fireplace, by a window overlooking the creek. All the food was great, but the lavender and black pepper crusted was the best thing either of us had EVER eaten! I only wish I lived closer or could duplicate the recipe at home! Best money we spent the whole trip- and it was a fantastic trip to begin with!
