Rapid Transmissions

I hate going to repair shops but they came highly recommended so I gave Rapid a shot. I was very surprised at how organized they were. I got called a few times throughout the repair, which only took a few days. The price was fair and they even let me know of other minor things that could use fixing but advised me easier, cheaper ways to do them. Never thought I'd say this but they are honest mechanics. more

I've had two wonderful experiences working with the people at Rapid Transmissions. The staff is full of incredibly nice people who go out of there way to make sure you understand exactly what's wrong with your car before they start working on it. Over the years I've had horrible experiences with mechanics, so I was relieved to find a place I trust right around the corner from my apartment. From My experience I highly recommend more

I had a great experience with Rapid Transmissions! I came in and was greeted immediately. We talked for a few minutes while I tried to explain the current status of my car and then he went to check out my car. He was super helpful and professional and they were able to fix my car that same day. I'd absolutely recommend them to my friends! more

I thought they were super helpful and very nice. They work efficiently to get the job done right the first time. They don't waste their time and they try to get your car back to you as soon as possible. They're very accommodating because I needed my car back at a certain time and they promised they would. In fact, they finished 45 minutes earlier than I expected. Thanks guys! more

My car was jerking and when I went to pass someone it got real bad, I had been to Evans Tire before and returned to have it checked they told me the transmission had problems and that they only trusted Rapid Transmissions with their transmission work, I left to go there and found they were closed on Saturdays so I went to Midas to have it checked and after they found the transmission was the problem they told me the same thing, go to Rapid Transmissions, I took my car in the following Monday and was told that the check was free and they could give me a ride home if I needed it. Now I know why so many shops send their transmission work there I just wish they did all repairs on cars, they treated me with respect and keep me updated on all repairs after they finished the work they picked me up at home and had washed my car, can you imagine my surprise. They were great and my car works good again, like it should. It does not stop there, today I received a postcard thanking me for letting them work on my car, this is a first ever for me. more

If I could give them negative stars, I would. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM MARK SAXTON! I had the worst experience with this location. Ultimately, I lost $1700 to nothing! I was mistreated by Mark Saxton and completely disregarded as a customer. He told me that it would be over $3000 to replace my transmission, and when I told him that I would take my business elsewhere he stated ""Well, you seem like an educated person so I dont know why you'd be making such a stupid decision."" There you have it folks-unprofessionalism at it's best! Mark then said that he'd ""only charge me $1500 if I kept my service with them."" Wow, that's a $1500 difference!! Too bad he didnt offer me that price originally. I took it to another transmission shop who told me that my transmission should have never been dissembled and that my transmission was not the problem. When I dealt with upper management they were somewhat accomodating; however, I still ended up with a $1700 debt and a problematic vehicle. The only good service I received was that the new owner called to apologize. Yet, Mark Saxton remains an employee and that's all that was done. I'd highly recommend finding another place to do your business. Transmissions are expensive and Rapid Transmission only seems to care about ripping people off instead of doing business the correct way-with integrity and accountability. more

Price ws a little higher than I was hoping but my transmission has never worked so good, I have been off road racing for the last ten years and Rapid Transmissions knew what I need to do to make it a winner. Thanks to the Rapid Crew I am again on top of the race, instead of being towed out of the sand. Very happy I found them. more

Mark Saxton came out immediately when I drove into the shop. I was ready to give the car away. Mark was very kind and explained what they would do and the time span that it would take. He called me back as promised and answered all my questions(there were many)on what had to be done. The Volvo was fixed and even washed. I really appreciate the excellent service. more
