Randy's Pizza

i am very very picky when it comes to pizza and when my we moved here i needed to find a good place and this place is great. not only was the pizza good but so are the subs. when you tell them how you want something they do it right the first time. also going in for the second time and was completely blown away by how friendly and nice the family is, we must have sat and talked about ny since that is where i am from and so was the one gentleman. all around great service and atmosphere and food. more

This was my first time trying Randy's Pizza, I called in an order for 18"" Meat Lovers pizza. After picking up the pizza and sitting down for dinner I was disappointed to find that the dough was soft/sponge-like around the outside of the pie. The toppings consisted of pepperoni, bacon bits, and small bits of what I presumed to be hamburger or sausage. The pizza itself was so tuff that I could barely cut it with a knife, let alone chew it. more

It's unfortunate, really. Randy's used to be one of my favorite pizza places. The staff is friendly enough, but apparently they're dishonest too. On two separate occasions now, I've called in a pickup order and after receiving a wait-time, I've shown up to find that they hadn't even started on my order and actually expected me to wait around while they made my food. The first time this happened they waited till I paid to tell me. I was lucky enough to be ablet o pull my credit card away from them on the second occasion. more

The reviewer before me thought that the service at Randy's wasn't great..but I don't know if they are at the right place! Every time I've been in there they have been kind to me and have always gone the extra mile if I needed something. Today, for a New Years Party, the Owner, Randy gave me 4 large pizzas for ten dollars cheaper than anywhere else (including New York Pizza) and is having it all ready and set for me to pick up. Randy's is THE PLACE for New York Style pizza and italian cuisine in the Cary/Apex area. 5 stars for Randy's! Pros: Great food, great service, good location. Cons: small eating area for customers who eat-in. more

I love pizza. Period. So, upon moving to Morrisville (from Raleigh) I searched online for good pizza places. I happened upon Randys and the reviews were less than desirable but one evening while @ Harris Teeter my husband and I decided to try it out. It went a little something like this: Pros: Excellent pizza, large menu. GREAT prices. Delivery. Nice owner. Parking. All fresh ingredients. EVERYTHING. Cons: None that I have found. more

I do not know why this restaurant advertises that they can deliver. I live approximately 1 mile from this establishment yet every time I try to call for delivery they say it will take more than one hour to get our wanted food items. Whenever I?m quoted such an outrageous time I call their competitors who gladly get my order to me in 30 minutes. Not to mention, when I do enter the store, the guys behind the counter are generally rude and usually fighting with one another. It might be NY style pizza but, no thanks I don?t need a NY kind of dinning experience. more

Randy's is the total package. My lovely bride - who also looks very ethic - loves the Garden Salad and its a great deal at just over $5. Not sure what limp wristed pizza joint ""restaurant observer"" is looking for, but Randy's is the real deal. Maybe you should stop over analyzing how you're treated and just fold up your slice and eat it. By the way, the wings rock, the slices rock, and the lunch combos are a super deal. Pros: Best slice in RTP; wings are super Cons: Gets crowded @ lunch b/c its that good more

I agree 100 % with restaurantobserver. I enjoy the food. Being from NJNY, it is very comparable to NY pizza. I have had issues with the service every time I've eaten there, dine it and take out. The guys behind the counter seem to have their own little fraternity and don't care about their customers. Here are two of the issues I've had with them: I placed an order for take out and they forgot the fried ravilios. I called and went back, they forgot to put it in the bag. No apoligizes, no acknowledgment that they screwed up. They made a comment when I left and started laughing. I didn't get to hear want they said and didn't care. The next time we ordered take out, 30 minutes went by and my wife went to pick it up. She got there and they mentioned they didn't even put it in the oven. When it showed she started to get a little frustrated and made a comment about their service, they started laughing and again was not apologetic and brushed her off. She cancelled the order and left. She mentioned to them she was going to write a bad review, they didn't care. It's a shame because the food is pretty good, but incredibly bad service negates its 10 fold. There are enough pizza restaurants in the area which seem to be comparable in food and alot better in service. I am going to try New York Pizza on HWY 55, the one in Harrison Square I liked when I was there last year. Pros: Decent NY Style pizza Cons: Bunch of idiots behind the counter who do not care about their customers. more

Save yourself some time and go to the Randy's Pizza of RTP up on Miami BLVD. It's far superior. more

Ditto the last writer. Randy's is the best and if you are from New York you will feel like your home from the time you walk in. The pizza is about as close to New York as you can get here. We live in Raleigh and drive over to Morrisville just to get their pizza, passing many other pizza joints on our way. My three boys are pizza junkies and will only eat their pizza as well. My first trip had me hooked! In fact, I didn't make it home without slipping a piece out of the box for a bite in the car! more

I'm writing this review in response to the other gentleman's complaints, because they run such a polar opposite to my own experience. In my opinion, Randy's is the best pizza and sub shop around this area. NY Pizza, where the gentleman is now planning on eating, is definitely a close second. Pros: Great Food Cons: Can be crowded, and hard to find a table at peak hours more

I'll start with the positive by saying that the pizza is good. That's where it ends as far as my personal experience. There where customers before me and after me but not in succession) and I observed how the staff treated each of us. For some reason I was snubbed when spoken to, no greeting, barely any eye contact. I was pleasant and courteous when placing my dine-in order but could not understand the negative attitude. I handed my card for payment and in return it was thrown on the counter (I still left a 15% tip). While waiting for our order, other dine-in customers had their food brought out to them. When my orders was ready, they yelled out what was ordered so we had to go to the counter to pick it up each time. Mind you that it was NOT busy (no one was in line to order). A little background on my group (3 Caucasians and two Asian Americans, few would say I look Hispanic). Pros: Decent Pizza, Ample Parking Cons: Service needs diversity training. more
