Anyone who knows me, or has met me, ever, has learned within a few minutes that I live and breathe horses. I have ridden since I was 5 years old and I'm now 51. This is, hands down, the nicest barn I've ever been at. Is your horse looking sick? someone will call you, or the vet! Do you need help with something? No shortage of people who will! Want to ride trail, someone will go with you, if you want, or tell you how to get there, if you don't, usually me. Want something to snack on? Bits tack store has food and drinks. The weather is usually milder than anywhere else, winter or summer, because it's only a few miles from the ocean, and in a little valley. Can't grow citrus, as it freezes, but we have peach trees, a plum and some apples, all dwarf, lots of flowers and you just can't take a bad picture of the place. If you want a friendly, no pressure kind of place, this is it, and has been for a long time. I've been there for at least fifteen years, or maybe more, and don't mean to leave. Nice people, nice weather, trail access, and flush toilets, which more than one barn I've been at has not had. The UCSD equestrian team trains with our jump trainer, Steffan Peters used to train at our barn, before his olympic medal, and we have a little bit of everything. You'll never be bored.
