I had just attended a seminar by Ciaran Duffy the Executive Sous Chef at Rainwater. The waiter told Chef Duffy that I had attended his seminar and he personally came out to my my table. He asked if I had ordered anything with ""his mashed potatoes."" He said he is an Irishman and knows how to make real mashed potatoes!
I ordered the Field Greens which are a mix of fresh greens with a peppercorn vinaigrette, pralines, and fresh strawberries. One of the best salads I've ever had!
My entree was the lamb chops, which were wonderful, but to top it of he also had the waiter bring me a side of his mashed potatoes to try. This Irishman can make some mashed potatoes! Nothing about the meal was diappointing. The service was slower than I would expect for the price, but overall it was an excellent dining experience!
