A Class Act! 8/21/2002

Be there for the upcoming holidays. Their huge private ballroom was the best ever. The private, wine tasting room sets a prestigious tone for important, business dining. Pros: Ambiance, Head Waiter, Dominic, Great wine list more

Impeccable! 8/21/2002

Seasonal menu that changes quarterly, if not more often, offering delicious entrees for any palate. Incredible wine selection, or rentable wine lockers for your own wine. Beautiful and well ventilated smoking room for cigar smokers with a fireplace during the cooler months. Peaceful, relaxing and private atmosphere. And a wait staff that is second to none. more

Buffalo on the menu 8/5/2002

Dined this past week. Great atmosphere. Sat in the room with the big mirror. I had the buffalo and my wife has the grouper. Both excellent. more

Nice Experience 7/26/2002

I had just attended a seminar by Ciaran Duffy the Executive Sous Chef at Rainwater. The waiter told Chef Duffy that I had attended his seminar and he personally came out to my my table. He asked if I had ordered anything with ""his mashed potatoes."" He said he is an Irishman and knows how to make real mashed potatoes! I ordered the Field Greens which are a mix of fresh greens with a peppercorn vinaigrette, pralines, and fresh strawberries. One of the best salads I've ever had! My entree was the lamb chops, which were wonderful, but to top it of he also had the waiter bring me a side of his mashed potatoes to try. This Irishman can make some mashed potatoes! Nothing about the meal was diappointing. The service was slower than I would expect for the price, but overall it was an excellent dining experience! more

Rainwater rocks! 7/25/2002

I went to Rainwater recently as a guest of my company-we had a room in the back for about 15 of us! The service was wonderful and the food was superb. I had filet mignon, cooked perfectly. Several others had the salmon and they said it was great. The desserts are beautifully presented (especially the raspberry tower) but I had the creme brulee and it was one of the best I've ever had. Rainwater looks gorgeous on the inside as well-it would be a wonderful place for a special occasion like a birthday or anniversary. I think it's worth the cost for a special night out. Pros: great food, good service Cons: somewhat pricey more
