When a person goes into a "Steak House" they expect quality food and exceptional service. I found this restaurant the complete opposite. From the time I walked into the aged depressing atmosphere to the table that was sparsely set up with no table cloth to plastic salt and pepper shakers I felt I was in a cheap chain restaurant.\r The salad bar was such a sad display of sparse ingredients tucked away in a dark corner it was laughable The waiter raved about the "Brandied Sea Scallops" made Raindancer style (what does that mean?) with toasted bread crumbs. All I found was a dish of overcooked scallops with soggy breadcrumbs that was so unappealing and tasteless. From the generic rolls that were served to the over sweetened sweet potatoe mess I wanted to run not walk away from this. To make matters worse the prices are way up there for the less than average quality of food that was presented. Save your money and stick with Ruth Chris or Mortons. Not only are you treated exceptional at these places but the quality of food is unsurpassed to what I just experienced at this so called cheap and oh so depressing version of the term of what a "Steak House" restaurant should be. more

It's definitely gone downhill since the new management came in. The bread was good and that's about it. The waitress pretty much told us the steak I wanted was bad so I just had the salad bar instead. It came with a baked potato but after waiting 40 minutes for the food we were informed that they didn't have anymore baked potatoes. So I got fries instead (they were burnt). The waitress was dumb and slow and we couldn't even find her half the tIme (despite the fact that the restaurant only had one room open and there wasn't exactly a lot of places for her to go). Definitely won't go back, it's way too overpriced for the lack of service and good food more

I've been to Raindancer a couple of times. The food is good, a little overpriced though. They don't have different size portions of Prime Rib or Filet Mignon anymore (since the ownership change) so that reduces my choices as far as how large my appetite is at the time. The interior is so dimly lit that you need a flashlight to eat. A good place to eat for a special occasion. more

We went on a monday(slow night) with a travelzoo cert. that cost 69.00 +a 24dollar tip was added.if we came in without cert it would have cost 142.+tip. thats a lot of dough. the experience was excellent. the service 5 star, the atmosphere was nice, the steak I had a porterhouse 1.5 thick 26 oz's cooked to perfection. the apps were okay, came with dessert and open salad bar.way too much food. the dessert was outstanding the portions were hudge. One thing! I can cook the same steak at home on my grill. so why do steak houses charge these outrageous prices.?wine buy the glass is $9.00 bar prices are also high. more

Have frequented the Raindancer for 30+ years. Always very pleased with the meal and excellent service. Some complain of the low lighting or that it's too noisy but it's been around for many years. How many other stand alone restaurants in the county can make that claim? That to me speaks volumes. more

The salad bar was tremendous. They have a great dressing. But the rest of the meal left little to be desired. Won't be going back. Money not well spent. more

I have been eating at Raindancer for over 15 years and I must say that I have never had a bad meal. Their salad bar is so great with a choice of breads, cheeses, and all the salad toppings you could want. The service is always wonderful the only thing is that it is a little dark in the restaurant but it sets the mood. The steaks are always cooked perfectly and they always have a good selection of fish. It is pricey but worth it. more
