My Spa Experience 10/11/2011

Just happen to come across one of my favorite places to go relax and rejuvenate. I just wanted to take the time to let people know that one out of thousands of people that have been at Rain, what a great place it really is. I have never heard of or had one bad experience there. I have been a client at Rain for almost 12 years now. I have had nothing but pleasant and joyful experiences there. Lisa, the owner has always been so friendly and so helpful and would do anything to make your time there memorable. Now going to the new place there's an added bonus, the boutique. You can get great one of a kind pieces to ad to your wardrobe and or jewelery collection. I would truly recommend this place to anyone. So if your looking for a great Facial, a fantastic massage and the best Spray Tan around, with a friendly atmosphere then this place is the place to go. You will not be disappointed! more

Awful experience twice. 5/2/2011

My husband and children purchased for me a gift for Mother's Day at the Rain Day Spa. I used the services at the spa which came to $195.00. It was probably one of the worst massages I have ever had. In addition to that, the lunch I was served was from the bagel store across the street. I was under the impression that I would be treated special and pampered. I still had $205.00 left on my gift certificate. I waited about a year and a half to use them again hoping they would have a different staff. I called us make my appointment, I was advised that my gift certificate expired after 1 year and could not use it. REALLY? What an awful way to do business. I would not recommend using this service. The women on the phone was very rude and laughed when I told her that ""it was bad business not to honor my gift certificate"". Oh well, their loss! more

Rude 3/2/2010

I walked in ready to purchase a spa package and the young lady at the front desk let me stand there for 10 minutes while she talked on her cell phone. I walked out and they lost $200.00 this day. Cons: Rude more

A Sanctuary to Escape, Unwind and Relax 1/9/2009

I just had one of the most memorable spa experiences, that I had to express my gratitude and immediately share. My husband and I travel all over the world and have had numerous spa treatments. We have gone to destination spas and day spas over the years. The Rain Day Spa I have had wonderful massage treatments in the past but I never had a full day experience at the spa. For the holiday my thoughtful children purchased a ""Classic"" at the Rain Spa for me. It included a massage, facial, manicure/pedicure, and lunch. The anticipation surely did not disappoint! From the moment I opened the doors a rush of amazing relaxing scents and beautiful decor began my day of sheer bliss. The friendly staff made me feel right at home, took my coat and sat me with a glass of lemon water. My first treatment was greeted with a professional massuese who by the end I literally couldn't move because of how relaxed I felt. She slowly melted away all my stress, aches and pains. A fabulous facial followed with aromatherapy scents of lavendar and berries putting me into a place of calm. My face felt refreshed and clean, not to mention my radiant glow from all the products! After lunch, I ended my stress-free day with a truly remarkable manicure and pedicure. I left feeling completely recharged and revitalized. I highly recommend the Rain Spa to anyone who needs to get away for a day or even just an hour. You will be glad you did! I can't wait to try the hot stone massage and enzme peel facial next! Thank you Rain Spa for making my experience so memorable. Pros: Ambience, Therapists so professional, clean, timely Cons: did not want to leave more

Nice place, poor service 12/15/2008

I have received spa treatments at a lot of very reputable places...from NYC spas, to Equinox in Vermont, to Vietnam and Tahiti. Upon entering, it's great looking, small, and clean. The receptionist or owner (not sure) looked bored to pieces & made me stand there several minutes before acknowledging me. When I finally went in for my massage, the masseuse proceeded to chew my ear off the entire time talking about her personal life & financial situation. relax and On top of that, it wasn't even a massage, it was basically someone rubbing lotion and oil into my body. Pros: Entrance was nice and they had nice product lines. Cons: Rushed & poor services, unfriendly atmosphere. more

tranquil raindrops 7/29/2002

I had a truly amazing experience at Rain. The facial was decadent. The pedicure with exfoliating eucalyptus salts was wonderful (and the eucalyptus really opened up my sinuses)! My favorite part was the 'Raindrop' massage. It was a swedish/deep tissue massage & they give you a choice of essential oils which they heat up & drop on your body like raindrops. At the end of the massage I was so relaxed I couldn't even think of moving, it was like I became part of the table! So spend the day at Rain & enjoy- there is no other place like it! more
