We went to the Raging Burrito tonight in Decatur. Last time we went, we had horribly slow service, but you know, that was one time and I figured we should give it a second chance.\r \r Well, wrong.\r \r Our waitress was rude, didn't know how to split checks, another waitress did 80% of her work, and we ended up having a disproportionate amount of gratuity added to our checks. This is after I gave her a heads up that we were all separate when we first arrived, and she acted indignant about what I was trying to do to help her.\r \r So, we get our checks back, and Callie who had a $6.00 tab, had a $13.95 bill - over 100% gratuity. We bring the manager over and she says the only option is to rerun all of the checks. Someone screwed up, and the gratuity should be taken off completely from Callie?s check, especially considering it took over 45 minutes to get our checks back in the first place.\r \r ?No, ma?am that is entirely unreasonable.?\r ?I?m sorry, all I can do it split her gratuity between another card.?\r \r ?No. That is not a reasonable option at all.?\r \r I said basically, in civility, from this point, everything except for ?F- you.?\r \r But I didn?t.\r \r ?I need a phone number for the owner, your name, and the waitress?s name.?\r \r She comes back, having hastily written down the information, and slams it down on the table next to me.\r \r I can wholeheartedly say - I really have no desire to go back to Raging Burrito again, and I wouldn?t recommend that anyone go there. Their food is great, I?ll give them that, but that is the second time in a row that I?ve gotten really crappy service by one power-tripping manager. If I were the owner, I would definitely take a long look at my management staff and figure out what?s going wrong.\r \r Do not eat at the Raging Burrito. You will only end up regretting the crappy service. As a manager myself, I would have cut my losses and given back gratuity on that check, which is entirely reasonable. My first time at Raging Burritto I didn't know what to expect, but the burrito was huge and the ingredients delicious. Very fresh too. Lots of choices to make your burrito your way. Add lots of what you like and leave off what you don't like. I've since been back many times. Line may back up at lunchtime but it usually moves pretty fast. Raging Burrito is an great low-key place to have a bite to eat and a drink with friends. With the new big burrito chains like Moes, Willies and Chipolte dominating Atlanta (all with the same menu) Raging Burrito is a great alternative. They have items like barbeque chicken and jamaican burritos, and an excellent outdoor patio. They also have the best chips and guacamole in town. We went with a huge group for a birthday celebration and our server was very accomodating about us adding extra tables as our group grew. We love authentic burrito combinations, like the ones at the legendary, Tortilla's, on Ponce, but it is now in Taco Heaven! Where do they come-up with these combinations? Thai in a burrito? Next time we go to our favorite Thai place, I wonder if they would fix us a burrito? O.K., service, it's just those strange, unauthentic, combinations that turned us off! My husband and I went to this place for the first time tonight and we BOTH made Raging Burrito our new burrito favorites. We got the Raging Monster Burrito and both felt satisfied (though not super full... then again we can be BIG eaters). For regular appetites, the Monster could be more than filling. The flavors just explode in your mouth. ***The service wasn't that great at all. The waiter only gave us scant attention, even seemed a bit rude. My husband and I were thoroughly unimpressed with that. If not for the bad service we would highly recommend this place. We highly recommend the burritos though and will simply be getting take out in the future. We may eat there during the day, to see if service is better. And yes, my burrito was watery too... definitely it was better to have eaten it with a fork and knife on my plate. I just love the food! The service as been sketchy sometimes but over all the experience has been fun. Laura the bartender always takes care of us when we come in. I'm a little sad when we get there to find she's off.\r This is an excellent place for evening casual patio dining or dining at the bar. Raging Burrito has the freshest burritos and best margaritas and beer selection in this region of the country. I lived in san francisco for many years and it has the only burritos to compare to these. There is also a huge garden patio behind the restarant that is a great place to hang out with a pitcher of beer. \r I tried the bangkok burrito recently for the first time and it is the most unique burrito I have ever eaten. Back in college, I remembered really liking Raging Burrito, so now, a new Decatur resident, I decided to check out the Decatur location. I ordered a basic burrito, takeout. Simply put, it was TERRIBLE. If you're looking for a soggy, soupy bean mess (I actually tried to see if I could drain it) with a hard lump of uncooked rice at the bottom, then go for it, but at least I'm only out $4.25. Raging Burrito is exactly what the doctor ordered in Decatur. They were one of the pioneers in the renaissance that has been going on in Decatur & they're still proving they are the best. The food always pleases. Check out the salad burrito, a great addition to the menu. Their salsa can't be beat, either. The back patio is awesome in the spring/summer/fall. It's really the only outdoor seating in Decatur that can fit all your friends. Casual, not overpowering live music sets a nice ambiance. Also, check out Azul. It's their sister bar - very cool lounge environment - again a first for Decatur. Oh yeah, almost forgot - the tequila selection is one of the best around. Pros: they pay your parking more

Can't speak for the whole menu. I've pretty much stayed with the burritos. The jerked chicken was great, and the build your own is even better. I'm making the move to vegan, so I like the selection available for those wanting to avoid meat. I love the roasted potatoes. Bring your appetite - BIG burritos. more

It has always been my favorite! I'll go to Willy's or Moe's because they have many locations, but if I can afford to drive there, I'll take The Rage any day of the week. more
