Rage Hair Salon

Michelle has been my hair stylist for over twenty years (she was very young when she started ;-) ). I've followed her from points in San Jose to as far away as Truckee to have her take care of my hair. Now that she's at Rage I'm thrilled. Rage is a fun place with great people and Michelle fits right in. She stays current but never tries to make you into something you're not. I've learned over the years to trust her ""creative eye"" and I can honestly say that recently I've had more complements on my hair than any other time in my life. I've been going to Jordan for years. I met him when he was working in L.A., and was always happy whenever I ended up there for any reason, because I knew I would come home looking fabulous. Then he came to the Bay Area, and I was SO happy that I could go to him whenever I wanted to. He makes me look really glamorous, and everyone always has compliments about my sassy hair after going to him. I'm pretty picky and demanding about my hair, and Jordan knows just what I like. Not only does he do extremely good work, but he has also become a friend. I recommend him to anyone that wants a super-hot hairstyle, without the flakiness and attitude encountered in some hairstylists. more

I found out about Scott by another person. It was the wife of a coworker. She had a great cut and color for her skin tone and face shape. I didn't want her exact hairstyle but I knew that whoever did her hair knew what looked good on her. I've been a client of Scott's for 3 years now. Scott cuts and colors my hair about every 6 weeks and has not once failed me. Historically I've never stayed with the same hairdresser for longer than a year and am fairly indecisive when it comes to what to do with my hair. About a year ago I became really ""stuck or in a rut"" with my hair. I asked Scott to do whatever he thought would look flattering on me (cut & color). Long-story-short, I started receiving more compliments on my looks (not just my hair!) than ever. And I frequently am asked where I get my hair done. Thanks Scott! more

Jordan is fantastic pheonominal!!! Absolutley the best hair stylist I have been to. He knows how to match your hair to the shape of your face which is important. The color is a must have and he does wonders with making our hair come alive. I could be wearing the scrubbiest clothing when I walk in there and will walk out feeling as if I have just been made over from head to toe. I had been looking for a new stylist for quite some time and i was always nervous about going to a new salon with a new stylist, I was recommended to Jordan Ashley at Rage Salon and I have never been happier with my hair. He is an excellent stylist who takes the time to make sure your happy when you leave. He's a very welcoming person who made me feel comfortable about being in a new place. I have recommended some of my friends to Jordan and they always leave satisfied.I couldn't imagine going to another stylist and being as happy with my hair as I am with him the color, and the cut is always perfect. more

I've been going to Jordan for everything (color, cut, style) for around 5 years. He moved to Rage Salon last year and is still doing the great job he always does! You should check him out (especially for color)! I think you'll like the person as well as the work. more

I found Rage on Citysearch and thought I'd give it a try since the ratings were so good. I'm so glad I did. Bobby took the time to make me feel comfortable and ask me questions - and I ended up with a cut and color that look great and suit me and my lifestyle. Even though I ended up buying all the products to keep the look going, I never felt pressured to do so. The atomosphere is easy-going and funky and everyone is friendly. Bobby - your're the best!! A friend of mine had amazing hair and referred me to Courtney. I have never been happier with my cut and color! She worked wonders for me the first time I went in and I am hooked. The color (which I enjoy changing) always looks great and she has created a look that is so much fun (I always get compliments). She is great and you will definitely enjoy your time there. I'm a student and wanted shorter hair for work, but when I met Bobbie I knew I could get much more than just a short hair cut. I was right, the style she gave me brings out my best features and my confidence. I now understand and respect her, her art, personality, and style. She is my new friend and I couldn't ask for more. A friend of mine referred me to Bobby at Rage salon over 2 years ago and I have been getting my hair done by him ever since. My hair has never looked better! He always cuts it perfectly. I get bored with my hair often but Bobby is always willing to offer suggestions and advice. He does amazing things with color! If you want rich, lush, color, then he is your man. He does awesome highlights too! Rage salon is a Bumble and Bumble salon so they sell good products to keep you looking after you leave too! Love this place! Go see Bobby! My hairdresser of 10 years worked at Rage Salon, so I decided to take my business there for my upcoming wedding. Since my hairdresser doesn't do wedding hair, I was referred to another stylist at the salon. I called and left a message for her & after two weeks when she hadn't returned my call, I called the salon again and the receptionist told me that she would have the girl get back to me asap. Three days later this hairdresser left a v-mail stating that she wasn't available on the 29th. So I called the salon back and asked for another recommendation at which point my bridal party and I were booked with 2 other stylists. The appointments were scheduled in the middle of MAY to get mine and my 4 bridesmaid's hair done for the wedding on July 29th AND for the ""trial run"" to be done on June 24th, (which was the day scheduled for my final dress fitting and my bridal shower). On June 15th, ONE WEEK before my trial run appt. I got a call from the salon telling me that the two stylists that they had me scheduled with FOR MY WEDDING had taken themselves off the books for that day because they decided to go to Las Vegas instead. Liz (receptionist at the salon) said that she booked me with another two stylists, but that the trial run would have to be cancelled/rescheduled because nobody was available to do my hair on that day. In addition to all of this they told me that my hairdresser of 10 years had retired so they would have to reschedule my cut and color with another one of their stylists. (In fact, my hairdresser has NOT retired, he simply moved to another salon and for them to tell his clients anything different is not only a lie, but EXTREMELY unprofessional.) I am not an easy person to make happy, especially with my hair. I have difficult hair to work with but Bobby knows how to make it look good and how to keep it healthy is a realistic ""I am not a hairdresser"" kind of a way. He is a great guy and a great stylist. In the 6 yrs I've been going to Scott, I've always loved what he's done to my hair (& I tend to try different things often) He understands what I'm trying to communicate - & he's great at delivering. I've gone to other stylists to see if something better has come along, but I haven't found anyone better than Scott. When he's had to fix what I've done (silly girl) he's never made me feel uncomfortable - then he makes it look just how I wanted it in the first place. His pricing is competitive, but not outlandish. In fact, I have a friend who was paying double what he charges for highlights - she now goes to Scott, too. I also take my 2 sons and my daughter (who has difficult hair) to see him and they like him, too. And the bathrooms are clean, by the way :-) more

I was looking for a new stylist a couple years ago and stumbled upon the Campbell Reporter's ""Best of"" section. In it Bobby at Rage salon was voted best stylist so I figured I'd give him a chance. I went to Rage Salon after searching for a new hairstylist for some time. I went in on a Sat. afternoon and found a person working and she recommended Bobby. She was very forthcoming in her candor and appears to have been truthful in every way. I have had two appointments with Bobby so far and have come away both times very happy. He is honest with me when I want something that won't look good for me, can answer my questions with facts, gives me his full attention and has knowlegde of all retro and up to date styles. Overall I am happy to have found Rage Salon. I noticed that there are stylists to fit all types. Some salons I have been to seem to only have the trendy bleached blonde or the ultra cool punk rocker, both of which can be intimidating. Rage has all looksand personalities. I learned about this salon from this website. I figured 8.8 score was decent. But I think that was overrated. Sorry. My apt was at 6:30, but I had to wait til 7PM. It's a busy place, and somewhat loud. The hairdresser was nice (not Kathie), but not great as I hoped for. The whole thing just didn't click with me. I went there because of convenience since I am new in town. Not a bad salon but not impressive either. Didn't use their restroom so don't know whether they're really clean or not. The haircut was ok, but I've had better ones with similar style. Perhaps I should have asked for Kathie. Guess I still need to look for a hairdresser. I will not go back. I went a total of two times to Rage, in Campbell, for a haircut. My first visit was similar to Super Cuts. Nothing but clippers all the way around, and not even straight. I decided to give them another shot, but get a different stylist. One that day, she didnt even show up for my cut. I sat around for 20 minutes while other stylists and management just walked by. I've had my hair cut and colored by Katie many times now. I have always been very happy with my hair once she has finished. She has great ideas and stays very current with her cutting styles. I get my hair cut and colored by Katie. She listens and creates the best styles to suit my lifestyle. I'm constantly receiving compliments, and I feel great when I leave, knowing I can style it myself, just like she did. Give her a try! -C more
